well hello, hello! meet miss astoria calypso greengrass. younger sister to miss daphne greengrass and resident fifth year slytherin ice queen, miss astoria is no stranger to the hogwarts spotlight. she's with the 'in' crowd and she was once the most sarcastic student in her year with the sassiest comments. besides her icy exterior, astoria is competitive, charming, intelligent, hard-working, sly, witty, and quite the perfectionist. she strives to be the smartest in her year, which is quite out of character for this slytherin princess. since the start of the term, however, something has changed in this cold-hearted queen and she has become quiet and reserved. the once opinionated, outspoken brat has become silenced by something that no one can quite figure out. her usual sharp tongue has been kept under control for once. for friends, stori could certainly use plenty. while she may be a slytherin and side with the death eaters, astoria doesn't mind blood differences, which makes her a little easier to get along with. when she's not sassy to you, others find her amusing and she's quite charming and many find her to be loyal once they get to know her. as for enemies, there won't be a shortage of these individuals. her sharp tongue, sarcastic, blunt comments, and her competitive drive often push her to step on the toes of others and offend those around her so plenty of enemies here. as for lovers, it's complicated. the reason why astoria has kept quiet this year is because of an individual who graduated from hogwarts last year who basically harassed and embarrassed her all through her fourth year and during the summer before this term, he forced himself on her and took advantage of her, which has left her traumatized and jumpy and extremely guarded. she did used to flirt a lot and did have a few flings here and there, but someone to break that shell of hers would be lovely because deep down, she's very compassionate and loving towards the people she truly cares for. i love lots of drama so plot away with her! (: promise we don't bite!

Astoria is beautiful! xD Anyways, hmmm. Well, there is an age difference between Noah and Astoria, so I can't see anything super drastic happening between the two of them. Perhaps they'd had a spat or two in the past? He's ultra competitive, too. And he's a gryffindor. Therefore, I can see these two getting into heated arguments about something or another. I wouldn't say enemies or anything of that nature. In fact, Noah would probably enjoy arguing with her or just maintaining sarcastic banter because it's entertaining, and she's attractive. Therefore, he would go out of his way to cause trouble with her just because he finds it amusing? Feel free to edit or change anything. xD

noah is handsome! i think it would be adorable if they teased one another and got into arguments. maybe, secretly/surprisingly, they could be like siblings that fight a lot. i think she'd really enjoy his personality and company and they could be like siblings to one another? she'd be a pain in his neck and vice versa and he'd be protective over her and perhaps he's noticed her change in personality lately and has been trying to dig and find out what's going on and has noticed how she has distanced herself from everyone and what not? idk, i'm rambling but i think it'd be a cute friendship with a friendly rivalry.

I don't think Ginny would like Astoria very much. She has a sort of unreasonable distrust for anything that lives in the house of green. But if they've probably run into each other. Ginny takes after Fred and George, so she's probably played a few pranks on the Slytherins at one point or another (or two or five). They're probably not friendly.

Awww, so cute! I definitely like it and think it would work. Noah has a little sister and a very protective personality, so he would naturally treat her the same way. The fighting would be the funny part about their friendship. I also like the fact that he would try to bother her about why she seems different lately. I would be up for a thread between them, if you'd like. It could be funny and interesting haha. <3

she certainly wouldn't like ginny very much. i think they'd be rivals and basically stori would just get tired or annoyed of ginny and her pranks and such. because she's a prefect, astoria would really try to push her buttons and make fun of her, basically.

STORI & NOAH,
they sound like the perfect pair of siblings/best friends and since he's a boy and older, if he ever saw her in the halls and like tried to grab her if she walked away or she just ignored him and he tried to reach out to her, she'd like flinch and get paranoid or something and he'd definitely notice and she does want to tell, but she's way too humiliated so she'll keep it to herself and i love that he would be protective over her! and if you can start a thread i'll certainly reply <3

What could I say about these two? First of all, Barbara Palvin is an excellent choice. I actually laughed when I saw you picked her because that's exactly who I would've chosen. Anywho, down to the characters. Being that Draco is busy trying not to break down like a baby because of his task, he really doesn't have too much time for friends. But I can see the Malfoy and Greengrass family being pretty close. So Daphne would be a part of the 'main clique' and Draco may want to be a bit protective of Astoria, because she's Daphne's little sis. This might turn into something more, or not. We'll just have to see. Being that they both have big secrets that they don't want to tell, they both could be rather jumpy around each other, which would be funny to roleplay in general. Tell me what you think.

awww yay c: i'm glad you like her! as for the malfoys, narcissa is like the second mom that is actually proud of her and loves her like her own, so stori is really close to his mum already! it would be cute if draco was protective over stori. knowing he has a lot to do this year, he'll be busy, but i could see draco noticing the difference in astoria. i know that stori would certainly have flirted with him a lot during school and she'd be cute with him blah blah, but this year maybe he'll notice that she isn't talking much to him and maybe he thinks he did something to her and tries to confront her about it and she flinches and pulls away and things like that? i think astoria would love draco more than she has ever loved any other boy, but after what happened, she's terrified and i'm sure she'd know about his task, seeing as her parents are in on that drama, but yeah! feel free to add/subtract!

I agree completely with that. Draco, being fairly close to Astoria because he feels protective of her, might try to tease and flirt with her like always. Because they just have that sort of relationship, but now that she's jumpy and paranoid, Draco definitely is going to be a little nosy and try to figure out what her deal is. And this will probably bring them closer. Especially because she's part of the group of people that he'll do what it takes to protect. Though he'll try not to get too close to her because he knows that any sort of romance is out of the question because of his task. Though, being a teenage boy, his emotions really aren't as controllable as he hopes. XD[/size][/font]

i could see maybe them arguing about it and she'd push him away because she doesn't want draco to find out who raped her over the summer and she accidentally lets it slip and it brings them closer and he's automatically more protective over her. i think if he liked her back, she'd want to be with him so badly, but she'd also know she can't risk losing him since the dark lord is so unpredictable and she'd just stand by his side and whenever he needed her or someone, she'd instantly make herself available for him.

While Hermione Granger's determination to be the best in her class results in Severus openly belittling her, Astoria's efforts will be much better rewarded. Severus takes pride in his Slytherins and he takes even greater pride in those who work their hardest to excel in class regardless of how they behave once they are outside of it. Astoria's determination to succeed will endear her to Severus and likely cause her to be among the favored Slytherins in her year.

Severus keeps a very close watch on his snakes, not because he doesn't trust them, but because he doesn't trust other teachers to deal with them properly. (Or how he deems is proper in any case.) he also has a distaste for the other houses and their prejudice towards his, so he tends to keep a very close watch on his students. He enforces house loyalty, because he wants to ensure his students always have someone they can rely on, be it a housemate or himself.

As such, Astoria's sudden reservations, her lack of sarcasm, the way she is keeping her head down, will be sending off all sorts of alarm bells in Severus' mind and be adding an additional thing to his list of what to fret about today. (XD) He'll be sure to approach Astoria and let on he's noticed the change in her behavior and express his concerns. As always, he will want his student to be aware of the fact that if anything is needed, she can come to her head of house and he will do what he can to help.

i could see snape being close to astoria's family and maybe taking care of her while she's at hogwarts. not necessarily in a close manner, just keeping an eye on her and when he notices that change in her behaviour, he'll question it, but she'll play it off like nothing has happened and i think professor snape would be wary about it and simply keep an eye on her in case she changed her mind and decided to tell him.

I agree wholly with that assessment. I imagine Snape would be at least associates with the Greengrasses, so he would want to ensure that Astoria is truly as alright as she claims to be. He'd hardly hover over her or anything - and he's not exactly the sort for emotional displays - but he'd want her aware that she can come to him if she needs to, and regardless of what's changed she can still rely on her Head of House to do what he can for her.
