Eden had been lost within her own thoughts, her quill trailing along her parchment as she conjured up fond memories of the previous few days. It seemed, things were turning around for the girl. She hadn't thought it was possible for her to have such happy memories, or have met such wonderful people that she'd actually been around all along. What was this? She was still a bit confused on the matters and manners as to which these sort of things happen, but all in all, she was entirely pleased. George Weasley. Could it be this easy? To be happy.
"MAIL'S HERE!!"
Eden jolted, her quill skidding across her parchment and onto the table, she peered down at the ink line and sighed a bit, before looking up at the multitudes of owls hovering above her. She wondered, idly, if she should owl her father. It had been some days since he'd owled her last and she was wondering how he was. Though she was expecting a parcel from her Aunt, some new treats to look into, see if her Aunt had captured the Italian essence, even though she was a born and bred Brit.
She noted a slightly weighed down owl and chuckled as it set down in front of her. She rested her hand on the top of it and looked over the calligraphic labeling. It was from her Aunt all right, that woman prided herself on her penmanship more than Eden did... which was saying something. Eden was extremely meticulous, so the fact that she could openly admit that her Aunt's handwriting was better than hers had to amount to quite a bit.
Eden was in the middle of thinking about the articulations of her Aunt's writing when a small letter flitted down from overhead. Eden blinked, catching it just prior to it landing on the package. Eden furrowed her brow, looking about and down at the writing. It wasn't from her father... who else would write her a letter. Then it struck her, rather abruptly. She looked down, there was only her name written on it. She smiled softly, George.
She opened the letter swiftly, peering down at the roughly written words.
"12 am. Tonight. Courtyard."
Eden chuckled, to the point... wasn't he?
She folded the parchment into her robes and grabbed her package. She stood, nodding to her fellow Ravenclaws and turning and heading back to her dorms. She reached her dorm room rather swiftly and placed her package of treats down and headed back to class, the note from George tucked safely away in her robes.
The rest of the day passed agonizingly slow for Eden and with each passing hour she became a bit more excited. It would be nice to see George again, she wondered, idly, if Hermione had gotten an invitation as well... seeing as Fred and George were twins... she secretly hoped she had. She liked Hermione, she even considered calling Hermione her close friend, which wasn't something she did lightly.
As the evening drew on, Eden was a bit out of it, thinking on the possibilities of having a close friend in Hermione and the fact that George liked her enough to want to spend more time with her after having dealt with everything the other day... either he was genuine about his enjoyment in her company... or he was off his rocker. It could be one, it could be the other, it could be both actually... regardless. He wished to see her again and she wholeheartedly wished to see him too.
As the night drew on, her classmates made their way to bed. Eden remained in the common room, reading and sitting idly beside the fire. The night wore on, pages turned and the fire grew dim. Eden looked at the clock on the wall, she had twenty minutes. Nodding, she stood and walked to the dorm, deciding it was time to get ready. She sighed, looking about, not really sure as to what she should wear or how she should go about this.
Finally settling on a pair of black skinny jeans, a long sleeve blue shirt, and her black military style coat. She got dressed silently, before walking over to the mirror and peering into it, running a comb through her hair before grabbing her Ravenclaw scarf and wrapping it around her neck, buttoning up her coat. She made her way down from the dorms and out toward the courtyard.
Finally reaching the courtyard after what seemed life forever of sneaking, Eden sighed slightly, breathing out puffs of steamed air. It was a bit chilly outside, thankfully she'd brought out her coat. Walking over to a bench, Eden took out her wand, flicking it and whispering. "Lacarnum Inflamarae." A small flicker of flame slipping out of her wand, she used the fire to warm up the cold bench before taking a seat in the shadows, so that she could not be seen. She rested her fingers in her lap, fidgeting slightly as she waited.
