The ends of his Black robe swirled around his feet as the tall blonde wizard strode quickly from a store he really wouldn't be favored being spotted at. From the dark shadows of Knockturn Alley to the slightly brighter and more welcoming Diagon Alley, cool grey eyes scanned the faces that passed him by from down his aristocratic nose. In his left hand, and expensive looking cane made from obviously lavish wood was held, barely touching the ground with each step that was taken. Head held high and chest seemingly puffed out, the attitude in which the man strode forth with was as if he was reminding those around him that he was Lucius Malfoy. That he was superior. That he was a wealthy wizard within the magical world and was pure of blood. Silver blonde hair was tied back perfectly with a silky black ribbon, The slight sneer Lucius wore on his face today seemed to ward off anyone who might have wanted to pick a bone with him. Intimidation always was one of his strongest suits.
As he made his way through the thick crowd of witches and wizards, Lucius examined that while many seemed to sense war, most who were in Diagon Alley today seemed to being going about their day as if war wasn't lurking just around the corner. And perhaps this was a strategy for many? Pretending like everything was fine. Refusing to prepare themselves. Or maybe they were just stupid. Either way, Lucius found himself both disgusted with the all to happy expressions worn on everyone's faces and content with the fact that they just wouldn't see this one coming. A plus for the cause he served. Denial on their part would surely put more favor in Lord Voldemort's hands. And so, Lucius kept his comments to himself as put more distance between himself and the shadows of knockturn Alley.
However, as his eyes focused on the amusing sight of a shop keeper struggling to keep his customers satisfied, what happened next Lucius did not foresee. Grey eyes slightly widening when his body collided with something resulted in a muffled noise coming from Lucius. Arms held out from his sides in the air, Lucius looked down to find that a small child firmly planted on the street before him, looking up with his with big green eyes. And as quickly as Lucius's fatherly nature had taken over, it disappeared and was replaced with a rather repulsed expression as Lucius took in the clothing the child was dressed in. This was not a child whose's family came from a linage of wizards. No, this child was muggle born. Practically jumping back as if the child had burned him, Lucius ground his teeth together as he watched the child scramble to her feet. She nervously stood there for a moment, shuffling about. Arching a sharp brow, Lucius watched as words formed on her lips but failed to come out fast enough. Growling, Lucius's eye bore into her's.
"Spite it out, girl! Didn't your muggle parents teach you to speak?"
It was more of a demand along with an insult the girl did not understand. However, the intensity in which his words came out where enough to cause tears to form in her green eyes before spilling onto what Lucius considered to be tainted flesh. Rolling his own eyes, he sneering down at her. Lucius watched as her lip trembled. Was she going to try to say something again? And before he could speak up once more, the word 'sorry' burst from her mouth before she ran off into the crowd to find her parents. Or that's what he assumed anyways. Brushing off the front of his robes as if she had left debris all over him, Lucius made to be on his way, only now his mood was that much more foul that it had been before.
