She smiled gently at Vincent, he seemed like a kind gentleman. She wondered why he had changed his professions, a bar... he didn't seem like the type of person to regularly enjoy being here. Though, at the same time, Eden's judging of his character could be completely wrong. It wasn't her place to think of how people should live their lives, perhaps things were easier for him here than they were when he was in a muggle town. It was possible, wizards and witches aways seemed to be more comfortable around their own kind, where they did not have to hide anything.
Eden smiled softly. "Well, I suppose I live closer than some. I reside halfway between here and London. But it is five hours in either direction." She said simply, which was true, though she had no idea where her friends lives so it was not as if she could accurately deduce if she lived close to them or not... which was fine, seeing as he'd asked about how close she was to the school and not to her friends. Could she call them friends? She sincerely hoped so, she hadn't had many over the years and this year she was just now beginning to open up and really talk to people. She was never one for small talk, but it seemed a necessary evil, small talk was needed to conjure greater and deeper conversations which indeed lead to friendships.
She nodded softly. "The thing about that is... magic, though beautiful, diminishes the natural beauty of the world if used every moment. I enjoy seeing the world through as... untouched an air as possible. So, even if it were to help me keep the rain off, it would affect the lighting and the entire feel of the natural world. My uncle has a veranda on the back of his home, I sometimes sit there as well if it is not too cold. I like it, sometimes there are things that magic can not assist. Somethings must be felt as all humans feel them, not just the gifted ones." She said, meaning every word she spoke. She'd lived her first ten years thinking she was no different than anyone else, she'd lived her first ten years (minus a few occasions where her magic was materializing without her knowledge) doing nothing magical.
She sighed softly when he told her he missed his life. She perked up though a moment later. "Have you thought about opening your own shop here in Hogsmead?" She asked him, thinking on it a moment before she spoke again. "You could make it a muggle and wizards musical shoppe. Considering some people are muggle born you could have all sorts of things in the shop, you would likely make a decent amount of money as well, considering how many people enjoy music. You could even work to have a contract with Hogwarts and supply the school with musical equipment."
She listened to him comment on things she really didn't know and she simply smiled faintly. "History is important in ones life. If you do not know where you are from, you will never be able to guard where you are going." She said softly, not exactly meaning to be philosophical. It just sort of came out that way. She looked at the time and gasped. "Oh my... If I do not leave now I will come back past curfew and be in trouble." She stood quickly and gathered her things, smiling softly down at Vincent. "I do hope to see you again." She said before waving and turning to depart back to Hogwarts.
