FULL NAME:
Magnus' family name, Thiney, is an old one among others of it's muggle origin. The name itself has been altered and modified several time throughout the years, however it can be traced back to it's roots stemming in 1891 Scotland. Unlike many other muggle surnames, the meaning of the name 'Thiney' has been lost over time, leaving even the most informative minds guessing. Thiney is the given name of Magnus' muggle father, Seoras. Prior to wedding Seoras, his muggle mother's maiden name was Warren. His middle name is a namesake to his grandfather on his mother's side, acquired through family tradition. Lastly, his first name comes from Latin, and translates to "great". He was named after Charlemagne (Latin: Karolus Magnus), who was his father's favourite figure in history.

NICKNAMES:
There are several pet-names that have glued themselves to Magnus over the years. The first belonging to his parents: Magoo. Every infant on the face of the planet has a cutesy name, so it should come as no surprise that Magnus had one as well. Despite his aging into a full-grown man, his mother refuses to accept that he is anything other than her baby, and thus still calls him "Magoo". While he allows his parents to call him by this name, he feels rather uncomfortable when anyone else learns of his nickname (either by handling owl post, or by visiting his family) and proceeds to use it. It's a mother/son thing, and that's how he'd like it to stay.
When Magnus reached the age where he went out and began to play with his friends, the neighboring children began to call him "Mags" declaring that nicknames were cool. He never minded, and was extremely excited when he earned his very own nickname. After all, it was a sign of fitting in and being included. As an adult, he prefers to be called by Magnus by anyone who is not all ready in his inner-circle, since it is interpreted as both unprofessional and lazy to call someone you don't know by a short name.
Lastly, there's Mange. This is the one nickname that he feels is worse than being called a "mudblood". As a Muggle-born, he has become fairly adjusted to the common (yet inappropriate) use of the insult. Mange is worse because it is a sentiment of being unequal to those around you, much like "mudblood". For a long time, Magnus would answer to this name as though it were another name given out of affection. In fact, Mange is a common nickname for Magnus throughout Scandinavia, which is where he thought his (unknown at the time) bullies had acquired it. It was later revealed that they were calling him "Magne" with the meaning of a skin diseases caused by parasitic mites, and that he was only as useful or as wanted as the disease. It is probable that this particular set of events is what sparked his dislike for intolerance and inequality. He does not like being seen as a pest, and is determined to prove his worth to the world. Determined to make a difference. [/ul]
AGE:
There was once a time that Magnus felt that he would have his life together by now. That he would have finished a secondary education, and possibly even taken over his fathers business. However, time had changed him, and guided him down a path that was separate from the rest of his family: Magic. While he is only thirty-six years old, he feels that time has passed too quickly and that he has much business he must complete before his cycle runs out. Because of this, he may seem different than the majority of the others his age. [/ul]
BIRTHDATE:
While Magnus was never fond of Divination, he did pay attention enough to learn that he was born in the year of the Dragon. The Fire Dragon to be precise. According to the mythology bits covered in his time at Hogwarts, the dragon is a symbol of good fortune and intense power. While his teacher was clearly high on some sort of 'third-sight' (craziness), she seemed to believe that Magnus would be a deliverer of change, and someone who would later be respected. He has officially written her words off as nonsense, but as stated previously, he has little to no faith in the long lost art of Divination. What he does not recognize is that there is at least some truth in the old crones lectures: For instance, like the fire dragon, his personality can evolve from calm to combustible in a matter of seconds. [/ul]
GENDER:
BLOOD:
Being a Muggle-born is something that Magnus is both fascinated with and proud of. While blood purity seems to inspire prejudice among many within the wizarding community: Magnus recognizes the fact that the pure-bloods are dying out and becoming more and more diluted. He holds onto the hope that it is only a matter of time before the argument of blood impurity passes, and justice is served. Justice that isn't spelled out by the words “Muggle-born Registration Committee”. While it is true that his parents have no magical power, Magnus has learned that it doesn't prevent them from seeing magical things altogether. If muggles are given direction, they can in fact see magical things. For some, it's just a matter of being shown the way. Perhaps the intolerant pure-bloods simply need to be given hard evidence that being Muggle-born is not a call to be ashamed, it is not a weakness. It's a strength. It is because Magnus is a Muggle-born that he can see the magical community around him with a completely open mind.[/ul]
MEMBER GROUP:
Magnus is currently employed by the Ministry of Magic as the Head of Pest Advisory Board. Ironically enough, Magnus loathes pests, and hates being considered one even more. He often feels that his position at work is proof that God has a sense of humour. [/ul]
YEAR
It's hard to wrap his head around, really. It seems like only yesterday the Sorting Hat was sitting on top of his head. It's funny how the years fly by, and how time is lost between being a eleven year old boy, to becoming a thirty-six year old man. Magnus can honestly say that is is proud to be Alumni of Ravenclaw house.[/ul]
ORIENTATION:
Magnus is fairly convinced that he falls into the asexual bracket. However, a piece of him hopes that someone, somewhere surprises him. A life in solitude doesn't sound so bad, but a life in good company is far more appealing. He is a person who experiences little to no romantic attraction to others. He often wonders if he is 'normal' because many of his colleagues and friends are more concerned about who they are dating than their work. In his case, he has never experienced a crush or a desire to be romantically close with another individual. He believes that it is most likely because he loves the magical community so much that he simply has not felt the need to settle down and start a family, or anything like that. He is generally satisfied with friendships and non-romantic relationships. However, at times he feels the need to establish a physical connection such as holding hands, or cuddling, and there have indeed been times (though few and far between) where he has desired a monogamous partnership with another person. As stated previously, it is possible that he has not met the right person yet.[/ul]
AFFILATION:
Magnus sides with whoever he feels is on the side of good. The Death Eaters, and their Dark Lord, are the very embodiment of the type of people he wishes to avoid. He fights for equality, for 'human' rights for magical creatures. He does not approve of the racial and special intolerance of the magical community, and in his own way, wishes to set change in motion.[/ul]
WAND:
According to wand lore, Rowan is a wood which is pure by nature. Rowan is a favoured element in wands, due to their ability to enhance defensive charms. Charms cast by this wand are strong, and difficult to break. It is confirmed by wand-makers that there has never been a Dark Witch or Wizard that possessed a Rowan wand. The wand chooses the wizard, after all. The core of his wand is Unicorn Hair, which is famed for procuring the most consistent magic, and actively avoiding fluctuations and blockages. It is said by wand makers, that wands with this core prove to be the most difficult to yield to another owner, as they possess a great respect for their first wielder. These wands are prone to melancholy and the core dies when it is mishandled. Magnus' wand, however, proves itself to be a very peculiar tool. The wand is very protective of its wielder, and fiercely loyal. The wand and Magnus share a protectiveness over his family and friends, resulting in the strongest defensive magic it is capable of on them. The wand is equally as protective of Magnus, and will not wield worthwhile magic to any other handler, unless it is to protect its owner.[/ul]
PETS:
Domino is a fairly new addition to Magnus' life. He's a youthful black and white border collie who has taken to Magnus during his volunteer visits to the local animal shelter. When the shelter couldn't find a home for the puppy, and were otherwise obligated to put him down, Magnus intervened and took Domino home. Domino is his only companion. [/ul]

LIKES:
Magnus is perfectly aware of his lifestyle and how it compares to others. When he isn't at work, he takes at least one day a week to volunteer in various parts of the community. He likes helping others, and giving back to the less fortunate (humans and animals alike). He feels that volunteering works as a form of stress relief, and the mental benefits are another story. Volunteering makes a positive impact on the lives of others. For instance: Aiding in care programs (children or elder) provides families with the support that they might not have had otherwise, and helps them build a foundation to grow in. Tutoring provides academic structure to the students seeking help...Etc..Etc.. The bottom line is that Magnus likes to make a difference. He focuses on tutoring a first year, and working in an animal shelter primarily. However, his interests are shifting to the medicinal programs in the wizarding world since the attack on Hogsmeade took place. He aims to contribute to relief efforts in any way possible, and can be relied on to sacrifice personal possessions or information that might benefit their cause.
II. READING
Where is a Ravenclaw Alumni without his books? Magnus is the scholarly type, and seems to enjoy reading for various reasons. He feels that reading helps one develop into a more interesting person, while at the same time improving ones imagination. He also reads because it keeps his ability to write correctly up to par, and he takes pride in being intelligent. He adores the capability the pages of a book hold, when words alone can place the reader into events they have not experienced or take them to places that are either intangible or otherwise unseen. It introduces one to new thinking patterns, inspirations, and introduces the reader to fictional beings, in which Magnus can relate to. Though the biggest reason he reads is because he finds it entertaining. Even the non-fiction section. He seems to favor studying science, history, and culture.
III. CLASSICAL MUSIC & PLAYING THE VIOLIN
Magnus is forever fascinated by classical music. It is this fascination that led him to learning the violin. While he's nothing spectacular, he finds that playing the violin relaxes him. He enjoys the art of discovering and comprehending how things are composed and put together. He is interested in dissecting sonata forms, and trios, rondo variation. This helps his ability to store and retain information to stay tuned. Aside from the intellectual challenge, Magnus seems to enjoy discussing what he's heard with attentive audiences. Though as always, listening to classical music is one of his favorite past times.
IV. RUBIK'S CUBES
One of his more controversially child-like tendencies is playing with his Rubik's cube. He seems to enjoy challenging his intelligence at every ample opportunity, the Rubik's cubes is not only portable, but tends to provide a leisurely challenge.
V. THE BEE-GEES
Magnus' heroes. The Bee Gees are a musical group which originally comprised three brothers:Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music.[/ul]
DISLIKES:
To prevent being repetitive and annoying: Magnus takes an extreme issue with purists. Particularly the ones who believe that being "pureblood" automatically means you're more important than everyone else. That you're better at being human, at being a magical being. When the evidence is clearly standing in the favour of the underdog. He has long since decided that if being a good wizard means being a monster in a humans skin.. Magic isn't worth fighting for.
II. IMPOLITENESS, INTOLERANCE, & RACISM
It is a sad fact of the modern era that everyone knows how to be a good person, and yet it seems the mainstream thing to do to be an idiot. One of Magnus' biggest pet peeves is bigoted racists who simply refuse to treat anyone with respect, simply because of their blood purity, species, skin color, religion, or personal opinions. Unfair as it is, he is beginning to see several people in this light, and shields himself from allowing them into his personal space. He believes that all men were born equal. As all men are equal, no man has a right to openly assault someone (verbally, or otherwise) based on their blood purity or personal background. Another thing he cannot stand to see is provocation: Intentional provocation. Something about seeing two people fighting over petty reasons, or just provoking to get a rise, sets off a fire within his soul. Should he catch people intentionally causing harm to another individual, he will be the first to come to the victims defense. It is the one button that will change his temper faster than lightning. It is devastating that people refuse to treat anyone as their equal. That so many believe that the universe revolves around them, and they are far to self-centered to even acknowledge that they share the world (and existence) with other people.
III. ENVIRONMENTAL ABUSE
While he might not voice his opinion, he often feels as though mankind itself is a parasite, himself included. There is nothing he dislikes more than being considered a pest. There are things that humans do out of ignorance and negligence that damage the environment everyday. This isn't even including the fact that humans are now reproducing at an alarming rate of 2 people per second, and the environment cannot sustain much more. It is a known fact that felling trees is getting out of hand, and the lumber mills do not always plant four trees for every one that falls. Why four trees? Because not every tree reaches maturity in its adulthood. Another way that humans destroy their environment is by producing Power Stations which pump pollutants and excess carbon dioxide into the air. Magnus tries to maintain the environment he dwells in, and is dedicated to growing a small garden on his balcony. If there is one thing he has learned through observation, it is that people don't understand that nature is a threat, until it is too late.
IV. RELIGION & POLITICS
Religion is simply the doormat to trouble. Nearly every religious individual that Magnus knows, uses their religion simply as an excuse to hate other people, and 'hide' from it's consequences. There is only one thing worse than being a hateful person, and that is being hateful in the masses. He is a well informed individual and keeps up with both wizarding and muggle news. Religion never really caught his attention until he stumbled across 'Christians' using their Bibles just to tear away at others moral values and opinions. Homosexuals, primarily. He feels that these religions have served as a form of brain-washing for centuries, even though he is torn between believing in God or not. He would like to believe that there is an afterlife, but the more he thinks about it, the less he wants to partake in any afterlife, if it means spending eternity in a room with these bigots. Another concern is that the faith of man has been the cause of several uprisings, wars, and crimes that are often encouraged and funded by the people and government. He tries to keep clear of the extremists from either the religious or political bracket, as he rarely has anything nice to say to them. However, his rage toward Christians is something he can't really explain. He simply cannot stand that they pick and choose passages from an ancient book just to support pieces of what they want to accept. Be that as it may: All people are equal, and should be treated as such. Even the people who disagree with your religious values.
V. SHOPPING
What were you born under a rock? Shopping is the examining of goods or services from retailers with the intent to purchase at that time. Shopping is an activity of selection and/or purchase. In some contexts it is considered a leisure activity as well as an economic one. It is particularly well liked by materialistic individuals who would buy themselves a new nose if they had the budget to support it.[/ul]
STRENGTHS:
The fact that this is a strength of Magnus', makes his father call him a 'man of paradoxes'. The reason for this declaration is because Magnus is introverted and painfully shy, or has been for most of his life. However, Magnus has always enjoyed talking to others. He doesn't see what there is to be afraid of. According to several social studies, the most common fear among people is public speaking. Followed closely by death. To sum this up, this means that the average person attending a funeral would be better off in the casket than holding the eulogy. Morbid topics aside, Magnus thinks public speaking is a positive aspect in the sense that information travels faster, and ideas can be discussed more effectively than speaking to each person individually.
II. MUGGLE NETWORKING
The internet is really really great
III. CAUTIOUS
Magnus is very careful about his choices, and can be defined as a sensible person as a result. He is not the kind to take undue risks, and he does not often do things (publicly, anyway) that he might later regret. Furthermore, he is understanding. He always considers that both ally and foe have stories. They have backgrounds which have led up to who they are now, and the future is ever changing. He will offer his utmost assistance to a foe, if the need is dire enough.
IV. ARCHERY
Magnus has always had an interest in marksmanship. When his father realized that he was not as involved with the other kids his age a little before he started at Hogwarts, he enrolled Magnus for archery classes (only after it was established that Magnus did not want to do any pixie fencing). As such, it was through Lucas Mulciber during his years at Hogwarts that his archery continued to advance.
V. DEFENSIVE CHARMS & COUNTER SPELLS
Magnus is exceptionally skilled at using counter-curses. When countering powerful magic, there have been examples of where Magnus' skill level proved to only slow down the hex's process, instead of completely countering it. Being adept with counter-curses makes him a decent duelist despite his inability to conjure powerful dark or offensive magics. This is also contributed to by his wands affinity to cast defensive and repelling charms.
[/ul]
WEAKNESS:
While Magnus excels in Defensive capabilities, his wand does not support offensive magic nearly as nicely. While he understands the history and logic of dark arts, his wand proves to seriously be in opposition to using them against others. When using heavier offensive magics, Magnus struggles to produce any fabrication of the spell at all. However if the need is dire enough, his wand will yield to protect its owner, and those precious to him.
II. TIME-MANAGEMENT
Magnus is not a procrastinator, however he cannot seem to get his schedule lined out. He is often late, and this often annoys those he is supposed to be meeting with. Despite his tardiness, the man does try, even though he is quite disorganized in his attempt to do so. This is a character flaw he is very self-conscious of, and tries hard to try to correct.
III. SOFT-HEARTED
When he sees someone in need, he does not stop to question whether or not it could be a scam. He is very trusting of others, and seeks to lend his assistance whenever he can. His heart genuinely goes out to those less fortunate than himself, however several people have taken advantage of him due to his inability to discern whether they are genuinely in need or not.
IV. EASILY INTIMIDATED
Magnus isn't known for his confidence, in fact, its sometimes non-existent. He wants nothing more than to be able to defend himself, and take a stand for what he believes in, but the truth is he fears consequence. He cannot stand being looked down on by others, and tries not to lose his temper. When placed in a confrontational situation, he is likely to bow his head and say nothing, unless his aggressor(s) manage to push his buttons about something he is passionate about. It is important to note that just because he is intimidated does not mean he will make no effort to defend himself. Providing the aggressor is truly intimidating though, and not a mere annoyance, he is likely to avoid the conflict all together.
V. "KNOW-IT-ALL"
He is proud of his intellectual capabilities, and while being intellectual can be considered a strength, it has it's downsides. Magnus reads. A lot. He loves absorbing information, and is very skilled with finding the patterns in the most complex arrangements. It's a gift, really... But it comes with a double edge. Magnus tries to stay quiet, but he gets passionate and enthusiastic about topics he possesses knowledge of. He is likely to blurt out tid-bits that begin with "Did you know.." or even to correct someone else in a conversation with more accurate information. It's a trait that others may find annoying, and one that has sparked several heated arguments between him and even his closest friends over the years. Knowledge is great, but knowing when to be silent is a must. This is a trait he cannot wrap his head around. [/ul]
GOALS:
Magnus has no idea how one would even begin to scratch the surface of this goal... But he knows he will be the one to do it. Or, at least have a hand with making this accomplishment. He cannot stand being viewed as a 'pest', and sadly that's exactly how many of the pedigree wizards view him. Why? Blood purity. It isn't right, it isn't humane, and if there is a way to stop it, Magnus will see it done. He's just looking for a place to start.
II. ROMANTIC/SOCIAL LIFE
Being shy isn't all it's cracked up to be. Neither is being excluded from your friends latest outing because you're the only one without a date... He knows that the root of his problems are his shyness, and he is determined to break that shell. Somehow.
[/ul]
BOGGART:
Magnus suffers from a severe case of monophobia, not that he will ever admit to it. He isn't sure what caused this fear, or made the fear seep into the depths of his bones, but he does know how to postpone seeking help for it. Monophobia is a fairly rare condition, and not a lot of people have it. As such, he feels even more ashamed of potentially having to admit to having the condition himself. As a result, he self-diagnosed himself. How does one defeat the fear of being alone? Simple. Community service. Volunteer work. Then, there is no fear of rejection either. People will never turn away a helping hand, right? However, the deeper fear is still unaddressed. He feels, nearly every day, that he is some sort of alien who has no romantic interest in anyone else. He fears that he'll never connect to someone else the way that the others around him have. He fears that he will always be an 'outsider' because of his abnormality and set of differences. He wants to belong, but he's afraid to take the first steps alone. [/ul]
PATRONUS:
Magnus has never had the need to know or understand the patronus spell. He has never tried to cast it, although if he were to he'd likely end up with a silvery mist that takes no perfect form. Being untrained with this particular spell, it is unlikely that he would be able to produce a full scale patronus.[/ul]
ERISED:
In other words, a place to belong. A place where he can be himself with people he can trust and love in return without being looked upon as a 'pest'. It's not so much to ask, is it? [/ul]
OVERALL PERSONALITY: To sum it up: Magnus is the type who is always in fear of making a complete and utter fool of himself. He is generally reserved until he gets to know someone, and feels comfortable displaying his less serious traits. He tends to get along better with men, since for some reason being around women makes him awkward. He is also fairly uncomfortable around children, since he never had to handle them in his own youth, and when he is introduced to children, he has no idea how to react. It is a very flustering scenario for Magnus. He has never had a romantic spark, and frequently feels like the third-wheel when confronted with other couples. In social situations, unless he is familiar with either the environment or the company, he ends up stammering and stuttering out of nervousness.
He's a quick thinker, and talented with nearly all things that are academic in nature. His memory is pretty good and he can remember practically everything, and everyone, that he has crossed paths with. Quiet in nature, he's gentle and submissive. He's also a good listener and will do his best to absorb the stories of others, and occasionally will offer sound advice.
He's a perfectionist, and he's driven. Every project he takes part in he makes sure that there is no stone left unturned. Everything must be exactly by the books, and one hundred percent perfect. Be that as it may, he is really one of those "nice guys". He never turns a cold shoulder to anyone who is in need. He's a fairly good judge of character, and relies on his judgment to keep him out of trouble. Everything he does is done with the best intentions in mind. However, he is only human...

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: On first glance, an observer would instantly identify Magnus as a geek, which isn't a far cry from the truth. He's lanky and tall, although in contrast to his body type, Magnus is not frail. His pale skin suggests that he spends a good deal of his time indoors, and with the exception of the small scar on his finger, there are no permanent markings. He has a preference for muggle clothing, but generally dresses the part of a wizard to blend in. When he is not at work, he is generally in a shirt, tie, and trousers. Or simply a sweater and slacks. He does not pay a lot of attention to his physical appearance, or the passing fashions. He dresses in what he finds comfortable.

Who was living on the Island of Skye
They got married, and their love was doubled
When they had a son
Here's the story, of a boy named Magnus,
Who was brought up as just a normal boy,
He wasn't made of wood, and the time passed,
Until he turned eleven.
Then the owls came, through shoots and windows,
And they flooded the house with those icky things,
Then the family went to Diagon Alley,
To buy al of his school things.
For seven long years, the time stalled,
Magnus trapped inside Hogwarts cage,
Learning magic, and brewing love potions,
To waste on the first year girls.
And one day he graduated from Hogwarts,

6:00 AM | Monday, 1998 August 3
Location: Official Dragon Sanctuary, Romania
Time. Too early. Date. Who cared? Charlie most certainly wasn't bothered enough to check. Everyday was an adventure, and true risk takers had no need for a schedule. Greeting the morning with a yawn, the tall fiery haired man swung his legs over the side of his bed meeting the cool and worn wooden flooring with his bare feet. How muggles could stand camping in non-magical tents was beyond him, but he had grown quite fond of his. Inside his 'two person tent', there was space enough to rival a small apartment, and it was decorated with the traditional log cabin wrappings. When one first entered, they would see a small entry hall, where they would be requested to take off their shoes. Past that there was a small living room, with a small stone fireplace surrounded by a couch and a loveseat. There was a small bathroom attached to the entry hall, and a tiny kitchen in the back. The bedroom had been the newest installation, and it was located upstairs. It was quite fascinating, in his mind, what magic could do when altering the simplest things. Charlie had only finished his drudge down the stairs, when a small woman entered his tent. ”Charlus...” The gentle voice caressed, speaking the name that was in the process of replacing his own. ”The Ministry has sent a boy...” Arching a brow, he folded his hands over his bare chest and leaned down to speak to his associate. ”A boy.” He repeated for clarification, unsure of what to make of the situation. ”Yes, he is young, but.. There is no arguing with the Ministry, Charlus. I was hoping he could work with you, since it's most appropriate. You both being boys...” The thought of potentially sharing her living space seemed upsetting to Cordelia, but she did have one point. Arguing with the Ministry, with that git Dolores Umbridge assuming the position of Minister, would only lead to trouble. ”Very well, Cordelia. Where is he now?” ”Well...” Her tone pinged a bit reluctant.
THUD. Oh, Merlin... You could have told me he was here, you know? He thought to himself , arching his second brow, as he turned to face the source of the sound. The sun blinded him as it poured through the crack of the tents freshly opened entrance. The illusion of the sturdy brown wooden door foiled by the cloth-like nature it now possessed, as it folded over itself. Squinting against the sun, he was able to make out a silhouette with a tall, well built, and impressive physique. ”Come on in, don't be shy now.” He offered, before Cordelia chimed in with ”I'll see myself out, I'll be at the lodge if you need me.” Sighing, Charlie shook his head awkwardly, trying to think of something to lessen any possible tension. ”Here, I'll help with your luggage. The halls are quite narrow, you see. Cozy though, I promise.” His voice cloaked itself in a smile. What exactly was the Ministry thinking sending a 'boy' to work with dragons? It was not a safe line of work, nor was it a 'normal' community service assignment. Perhaps they had sent a qualified intern? Deducing that the Ministry had in fact sent the newcomer with the intention of putting him to work came fairly easily to Charlie. Perhaps it would have been even easier if he had been able to keep up with reading the Daily Prophet whose summer headlines had included: “Potter Intervention”, “Malfoy Trial Interrupted”, “Draco Malfoy Faces Lesser Charges”, or most recently “DRACO meets DRAGONS?!”
However, the identity of this boy remained a secret to Charlie even now. He hadn't taken the opportunity to properly make introductions, which he silently regretted. Under normal circumstances this would not have been the meeting that he desired. Generally speaking, Charlus met new employees and volunteers in the reservation, but it seemed Cordelia had been too spooked by the idea of working with whoever their new guest was. Turning into the living room, Charlus laid the trunk down beside the couch at the foot of the stairs. ”Well, this is the end of the line.. For now. I wasn't expecting anyone, so I didn't take the liberty of cleaning out my room to give you a better sleeping arrangement.” He admitted, finally getting a moment to appraise the other. Smirking he folded his arms over his chest. ”Ah, Draco Malfoy, of course. I've heard of you...” From what he had heard Malfoy had been a nasty little brat, one who repeatedly had picked fights with Ron and Harry. Though, to be fair, Charlie wasn't exactly an angel either. Allowing his armed glance to wander, he gave his guest an appreciative 'one-over'. Rude, or not, he seemed to have grown dashing (physically) throughout the course of his Hogwarts years, in spite of making all of the wrong choices. Not one to take others opinions of people into consideration, the fiery haired man simply brushed the rumors he had heard from his mind. ”Have you eaten? Slept? Dragons are no joke, you will need your energy... And possibly more appropriate attire... I imagine you wouldn't wish to soil your nice wardrobe in soot, mud, or dragon dung...”
If he was anything like the image that his brothers had formed for him, he would soon prove himself to live up to the Weasley definition of the Malfoy name: high maintenance, snobbish, inconsiderate, and powerful. However, he also knew that his brothers (Fred and George in particular) were good at stretching the truth. Wincing at the thought of Fred, Charlie found his normally pleasant personality at the risk of sobering. It was strange, how true the sentiment was of not knowing what you had until it was gone. With the turn of the events, he wondered how the Second Wizarding war had impacted the youthful blonde and his family. Surely, he was following blindly, being young and raised under Lucius. It seemed rather unlikely that the boy would have been able to kill anyone at his age, particularly when one considered that the caster had to mean to kill. It was hard to imagine that any youth taught under Dumbledore, Malfoy included, would actively seek to murder their mentor.
