Tonight for the Order, Tonks was scheduled to watch Diagon Alley. Usually she was posted at Hogsmeade, but tonight they needed someone else at Diagon Alley, and since Tonks had been giving up shifts when it came close to the full moon, she decided to take some extra ones when someone needed to be covered. As she pace the stone streets of Diagon Alley, she kept her eyes peeled. Her black cloak was long enough to cover her arms, hiding her one hand that clutched her wand, pressing it tightly against her forearm. She had it ready to go, just in case anything should happen.
The boots that she wore made her ungraceful footsteps noisier than expected. She did her best to quite them, but it only helped very slightly. It was quite difficult for Tonks, trying to be sneaky; however the darkness of the night helped her dark outfit blend in. In all honesty, Tonks wasn’t expecting any trouble. There hadn’t been a lot of trouble in weeks. This wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Being a werewolf had physically affected Tonks. It had only been a few days since her last transformation and her body still ached. She hoped she would get used to it soon, but she doubted it.
Tonks was a fighter, all right, so she was able to push passed the soreness and focus on her task. The task of… well, walking around at the moment, seeing as she was the only one on the streets at the moment. She was getting bored, but she dare not wish for something to do, because that would most likely mean trouble. She continued to tiptoe around, which helped her stay warm and focused on this cold night.
Suddenly she heard footsteps. She felt her heart race quicken as she stopped walking. Tonks then slowly walked into one of the alleyways, pressing herself flat against the wall. She loosened the grip on her wand out of her sleeve so her could hold it properly out in front of her. Though her eyes were adjusted to the lack of light, it was still difficult to see, but she did not light her wand. What is the footsteps she heard had belonged to someone she didn’t want to run into? You could never be too cautious at times like these, that’s for sure. Tonks didn’t go back out into the streets right away. No, she waited.
Once she felt the surge of courage she had been waiting for, the auror went back into the streets, her wand outstretched in front of her. However she was having such a hard time seeing and she was afraid she would trip and hurt herself. So she finally gave in, pulling her wand closer to her body so the light did not give her position away too much, she whispered, “Lumos!” Her wand lit up, shedding light onto the ground. She blinked, her eyes readjusting before continuing on.

Notes: GAH! I am so excited for this, bring it on. ^^ This is what I call good family bonding. Let me know if you need anything changed!
