Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Miss Philippa Ryder. From here on out, you'll most likely know her as Pippa, Pip, or Ryder. If you feel the need to call her Pippie, you very well might find yourself with the tip of a wand under your nose. Pippa here is a proud muggle-born seventh year, in the Gryffindor house. And is very true to her House values. She's bright and brave, to the point where you'd expect her to be nothing but a good girl. Yet, she also has a very mischievous streak to her and, thanks to her curiosity, has no problem tracking down trouble. A spontaneous adventurer by trade, future auror in heart. She keeps a level head about her shenanigans, though, often rationalizing out a clever plan. The girl has quite a way with words - spinning them into arguments, quips, jibs, and a naturally sarcastic comment. Laughter and magic: her best friends. Under it all, she's very guarded and has difficulty trusting others. Her mother died in an accident during her second year at Hogwarts - more on this later! - and, since, her father's hatred of magic and love of alcohol have both increased. So, defensively, she's bit of an underachiever when it comes to the realm of emotions. She can't say no to a dare and, most notably, she's doggedly protective of her soft spots, especially those she holds dear.


the friends Pippa will probably have quite a few friends! She's friendly and enjoys people, plus she has no problem striking up a conversation. She may have a few friends who are more attune to her bookish side, but probably her closest friends will be those who feed into her adventure-seeking. She could definitely use a partner in crime!

the lovers Since Pippa has a hard time with emotions, she may have a hard time committing right off. That being said, she is a secret romantic. If she falls for someone, I can see her entering a state of denial. But I would love for someone to come along and challenge her. Get under her skin until she can't deny it! Now, I'd be up for flings, crushes, exes (hey drama!), and what have you.

the enemies On the most superficial level, a good majority of Slytherins fall into this category. She simply doesn't trust them. Prove her wrong, maybe? She's also very likely rubbed a few people wrong along the years as the filter isn't always on. But then, of course, being a proud muggle-born, Lord Voldemort and any and all death eaters are the primary enemies of Pippa. She's making a point of fighting your lot.

the other Here we go! Two big things here! First, her brothers. I would love to have all the Ryder siblings around here! She holds her brothers in the utmost regards. Keep an eye out for the ad I'll be putting up later. Also, secondly, I'm in need of an unknown enemy. I'm thinking of having her mother's death not have been an accident. Possibly, with her being a muggle in the Wizarding world, she was caught up in the starts of the war and a murder has been well-covered So, if any death eaters are interested, I'd love to work something out!

I'm open to all ideas and creative plots. Have at her!

Hello there! So Pippa and Noah have pretty similar personalities. And they are in the same house and year. Basically, there are lots and lots of things that we could do with them. xD I can see the two of them being good friends, just because they are very alike and would have gone through Hogwarts together. So we could do something where they are just super close and have a brother/sister type relationship? Also, we could do something where they have been close for ages and ages and perhaps one day Noah thinks maybe he feels something more for her, which is uncommon for him and such. He could try and act on it and she could either feel the same or not, but that is the second way we could go with them. I feel like they would definitely get along very well, and they would be bound to be pretty close to one another, but I'm open to anything with them. xD Feel free to change or delete anything or everything I've said. (:

Hey back! First, that was wonderful. I was just writing up a reply in Noah's plot page for these two, so good timing! I definitely agree - I think they would get on really well and that they would be incredibly fun together! I was going to see if he needed a partner in crime too. Haha! So, I'm open to a lot with these two, and I really like the second idea there, if you do! I could see Noah being the type of person that Pippa may have developed feelings for early on...but, her being her, she's been in that complete state of denial about it, pretending that it's not true. Since they've been close for so long, in her head, she couldn't have feelings for him because a) he would be one of her best friends, and b) he's not usually the type to have those type of feelings. And then, if he did start to act on it, she'd probably be completely oblivious at first and say some pretty stupid things! I love your Noah and I think these two could be entertaining. As a seventh year Gryffindor, chances are Pippa and Severus have had their days in which throttling one another has seemed like a fantastic alternative to dealing with one another.

That said, she is two years above Potter's, so for the most part he would likely be tolerable toward her. She's intelligent, so for that alone she'd be mostly ignored in his classes, awarded by performance begrudgingly from time to time.

Her penchant for trouble, on the other hand, will probably be why they dislike one another. Pippa and Severus probably hold the same sort of relationship my Severus tends to hold with the twins. They drive him insane, they're insufferable, but they are not malicious and so, he doesn't hate them. (Good. Luck. getting him to admit that. Ever.)

Even when pranking, the twins tend not to be humiliating or belittling about it and they tend to prank just about everyone - and anyone - equally. If Pippa is just as non-discriminatory as they are when it comes to her mischief making and is not cruel about it, chances are Snape likes her in a Snape way. the kind that's never voiced and is rewarded in weird ways, like extra homework. Which is essentially Snape's way of saying you're worth your education. XD

I'd first like to say that I am genuinely looking forward to roleplaying with your Snape, especially in the class room deal you have set up. Lots of props to you! But, I can easily see these two imagining throttling each other. What a healthy student-professor relationship! XD Pippa, most likely, would fall among the bunch disappointed to see Snape as the new DADA professor. Seeing as, first, that is her favorite subject and the pride of her academics, and secondly, she is very dependent on that mark for future auror work. I think she may actually be pleased with going unnoticed in class, as it's better than the most likely alternative.

As for her troublesome ways, you nailed it. Pippa is generally very unbiased and harmless in jokes. Or well...maybe harmless isn't the right word...but she is not malevolent about it! She'd probably be completely oblivious to the fact that he likes her in any sense of the word, but she may pick up on the fact that he doesn't dislike her as much as other people. And she'd consider that a success! Then again, she'd be confused about the extra work -- because she fails to speak Snape, haha! -- and, therefore, try even harder...which could be entertaining. Maybe something like her own weird sense of brown-nosing? Such as...sucking it up and working with a Slytherin student. Ha, she hates me already!

Anyways, I love the idea of enemies for these two! There's the fact of their rival houses, but yea, Pippa is fiercely loyal to Noah. As bad as it sounds, that alone could have swayed her to not liking him. Possibly, at first, she tried to play the role of the level-headed one and calm any uprising between Elijah and Noah. Maybe simply because she is a fan of his mother, Professor Burbage. But eventually, things got the best of her, and she's dropped it. Completely. XD Since both Elijah and Pippa spend a lot of time at the library, we could have some interesting interactions or altercations there? I imagine, being muggle-born, Pippa would venture into the muggle reading section now and again, too.

Haha, about as healthy as most of Severus' gryffindor student relationships tend to be, aye! That said, he probably won't actively slant any of the Gryffindor's marks (For the most part anyway. Ah, marvelous! I do love jokester types, but I'm not so fond of those who take jokes too far or who are biased on who they prank - which makes me very much like Severus I suppose XD As long as she is not malevolent, Severus won't be too irritated by her.

There are very few folk in this world who speak Snape, so it would be a bit surprising if she figured out his reasoning behind it. Chances are he'll notice the extra effort she puts in, but won't comment on it. If she ever confronted him about the extra work, he'd hardly compliment her or anything. he'd probably just raise a brow at her and query whether or not she was serious about the auror program or not and if so, consider it a leg up XD

But aye, being a Gryffindor he doesn't dislike persay is quite an accomplishment, so I'd consider it a success too if I were her! XD

Because she's such a spit-fire, is incredibly confident, and of a rival house he would enjoy pestering her. Isaac knows that his 'feelings' (if that's what you could even call them) for Pippa would never end up turning into something more. Because of his kinda friendship with Noah, he wouldn't want to overstep any bounds because he knows where everyone stands and doesn't wish to change it. But Isaac would definitely enjoy being someone that would have play-banter with Pippa.

Oh, I love it! If Snape were to inquire whether or not she was serious about the Auror program, Pippa would only go on the defensive. Which is rather entertaining! Still, she would probably reluctantly understand what he's implying and...also reluctantly, take an odd appreciation to it.

It makes me happy that these two have an outwardly strained relationship and, yet, it seems like deep down they've reached some weird, absurd understanding. Or as much of an understanding as there can be between Snape and a Gryffindor! Hah!

I love this idea! I think a kitten crush sounds so entertaining! Pippa, of course, would be completely clueless. While she claims to be very good with people, she is dead awful with feelings and, particularly, cuing in to others' feelings towards her. Noah basically had to spell it out for her, poor guy! XD

She'd happily partake in any pestering, though, without a second thought! Gah, their banter would be so funny -- "So, what exactly is it that scares you about cars, Isaac? The steering wheels or the fuzzy hanging dice?" Insert smirk here. I think she'd quite enjoy teasing him and challenging him -- and his vice versa! I think they'd keep up with each other nicely! But, it would all be in good nature and she'd be genuinely fond of their back-and-forth's to the point where she considered him a good friend? You know, one of those friendships!
