Last year with Dumbledore's Army she even shocked a few people with how good she could be. Still, she wasn't as good as Harry, or Hermione, or probably even Fred and George, though she thought the latter two focused more on the joke aspect of magic. And why shouldn't they? They were good at it. Their joke shop was very successful and Ginny had had a blast visiting it before school. Actually, if they were practicing Defense Against the Dark Arts, they really should have enlisted the help of Harry, but Ginny hadn't even thought to ask him. She already sort of felt bad about asking for his help with Muggle Studies, though technically he offered that. And this wasn't entirely for her, it was for another student too. She might as well have asked him to start up Dumbledore's Army again, though she doubted that would get a good response from her new boyfriend. She didn't think Harry had actually wanted to start up the DA in the first place, and after getting caught by Umbridge and sending Professor Dumbledore sort of on the run, she doubted he'd want to take part in it again, no matter how much any of them learned from it last year. She was waiting for Eleni Falguerra, another fifth year but in a different house. The two had their differences for sure, but Ginny wasn't going to just not be her friend because of those things. They weren't exactly polar opposites, but they weren't too much alike either. But the Hufflepuff girl was nice and Ginny generally didn't turn down friends. It was true that she had a bit of prejudice against the Slytherin house, but that was also true of several Gryffindors. To say that the room was empty would be a lie. There was only one person in there at the moment, Ginny of course, but it was full of desks that hadn't been used in so long that they were starting to form cobwebs, and the candles along the wall were lit. The Weasley girl pulled out her wand and started moving the desks to the edges of the room so there was a large open space in the middle. She would put them back when the two fifth years were done practicing. Really, the Room of Requirement would have been a better place, but Ginny hadn't visited that area since last year and she didn't want to be reminded of Umbridge catching them. |
