COLDENDIMITRIOUS VANIA KERL

Colden is a self proclaimed pure blood and son of the well known Death Eater Alina Vania Kerl. Unfortunately she was killed and as no one knows who his father is he is pretty much an orphan. But don't think that this makes him weak. He is as cold and cruel as his mother was and wishes to restore his family name to the glory it once held. He tortures those who are younger and weaker then him and has befriended the more powerful and influential of the Slytherins and during his years at Hogwarts he became a Death Eater, so you would be wise to stay on his good side.

Growing up in an orphanage has given Colden a rather rough edge and can come across as rather cold and a bit of a bully. He preys on the weak and asserts his power as much as possible both at school and at the Orphanage. He is friends only with his peers and those that he can benefit from; either through gaining more power or learning more about his family. Colden never had a proper upbringing and he was constantly surrounded by people coming and going and fights left right and center, so it's almost understandable that he is a bit distrustful of people and expects them to leave

Colden is a ladies man and like his mother and indeed his unknown father he is a flirt and a player. Being a Metamorphagi means he can suit the physical attraction for any woman he has his eye on. He isn't the sort to really commit to anything and any relationship he's had and will have will usually be short. However if the right person was to come along then it could all change. But he only goes after those with good blood and as he has a reputation to uphold he isn't exactly going to go after 'mudbloods'

At school this was most people who weren't Slytherins and now it's anyone who is against Voldemort. As stated earlier he is a bit of a bully as it was what he felt he had to become to survive in the orphanage. He has a lot of anger towards certain people like the person he believes may have something to do with his mother's death. He likes to assert his authority over others and does this by preying on the weak willed and those who are younger then him either by threats or by giving them a nice little curse. It's fair to say that he isn't a nice lad and has inherited the cruelty of his grandfather and mother and those that get on his bad side will soon learn the full extent of his power

These two will be interesting, as I imagine Severus will be well aware of who and what Colden truly is. Especially seeing as Severus will have already taught him once already.

Despite that though, Severus will continue to treat him as he would any other Slytherin - which, I think is why it will be interesting.

Severus is nothing if not protective of the snakes, which is something Colden will have remembered I'm sure. He will continue to be assertive with the other professors on Colden's behalf as surely as he would any other student, and he'll also ensure Colden is aware that if he needs anything, he's welcome to speak to him.

I think it will be an interesting dynamic, as in a way both are acting out a part. Colden is pretending to be a student while being very aware of the fact he isn't, and he is in fact a Death Eater. He'll be dealing with his teachers from before while pretending he's never dealt with them and he'll have Snape, a senior Death Eater, acting alongside him.

They could possibly form some sort of bond as a result of this, but I imagine both of them will be slippery about it, as Colden is a truly devoted Death Eater and Severus, quite frankly, is not, and the only true Death Eaters he remains true friends with are those from his childhood days. I think it will be quite difficult for a 'new' Death Eater to break into those ranks, but it might be interesting to see what becomes of these two.

Obviously being a slytherin alumuni the two will know each other, after all Snape was his head of year and his potions teacher.

From colden's point of view he respects snape and looks up to him, he came to Hogwarts without any family and as a general unknown and would have felt like an outcast among his peers but I imagine Snape could have possibly related and helped him? Colden's mother would have been at Hogwarts with Snape so maybe he knew her and occasionaly shared stories about her or looked out for Colden for her sake?

I imagine Snape wouldn't have been too pleased of colden cursing other students just for fun but perhaps he wasn't too hard on him because he understood he was just angry at his situation and was trying to gain respect? They will probably see each other at Death Eater meetings.

Because of his true alligance I imagine that Snape won't be happy that Colden is undercover at the school and even if he appears to be helping maybe he will try and ruin his plans through other sources?

That's what I was thinking; Severus would be very familiar with Colden from his school days still. He's always been protective of his snakes and of course, he would have noticed the way Colden was treated and would not have stood for it. Where he could have helped, you can bet that Severus did all he could do for Colden.

If he knew Colden's mother, he would have certainly spoken of her to him, and I imagine the fact Colden fell to the Dark Lord would be for Severus a sense of failure; he does what he can to keep his serpents from falling to Voldemort and those he fails to save are always a point of failure and regret to him.

He will not be pleased about Colden spying, nor will he be pleased about Colden cursing the students. He is protective of all Hogwarts students at the end of the day, but Colden is a special tightrope for Severus to walk. he cannot be too harsh on him or the Dark Lord will hear of it, but he won't want Colden thinking he can curse whoever he likes, so he'll have to find a way to get Colden to hold back on that I think XD

Just because Snape understands, doesn't mean he'll allow it or approve of it, after all.

He will try and keep Colden from causing any real damage, but beyond that he will likely leave Colden to his own devices under the slim hope that perhaps things might be different for him during round two at Hogwarts, and perhaps someone may have what it takes to convince him back to the light.

he does indeed Hmm, even if these two might sooo not get along and he'd have literally no interest in her, still... he's at the ball in disguise right? Maybe Eirian and him could bump into each other?
