Elliot had stood in front of his trunk and mirror in his dormitory for an hour, looking at this outfit and that. He had tried to decide which would impress his friend of the last few years the most. She was always quite persnickety when it came to his choice of clothing, so he had finally made up his mind he was going to blow her away. This was probably going to be nearly impossible. Elliot had long since admitted to himself that he did not have an eye for this. He never knew what color complimented another, or what clashed with this or that. He just had given up and lamented over the fact that he would always hear Eleni chastising him when it came to how he dressed. Sighing, he threw another shirt on his bed and felt quite like a girl. His dorm mates had already teased him before leaving to do other things. You're such a girl today, one had said and Elliot had just chuckled. No, he was just a man on a mission to prove to a girl that he could have an eye for this bloody crap too. Finally, giving up, Elliot pulled on his favorite tee-shirt and a new pair of jeans he had bought last holiday. He hadn't been given the opportunity to wear them yet, so they were still fresh and had that stiff, new feeling. He was sure she would be impressed. New clothes on Elliot were rare, as she had probably come to realize. He hoped. He could never tell what Eleni was thinking. She was an enigma. Sighing, running a hand hap hazardously through his hair, Elliot gave himself one last look over before heading to the common room. He didn't even bother to clean up what he had strewn all over his bed. He would do it later. He had to hurry if he hoped to catch her. Saturdays were always the leisurely days around Hogwarts, and he was of the mind that maybe if he lounged on a couch in front of the fire she would come out and see him. Perhaps she would complement him on his fabulous skills today? Elliot didn't want to get too far ahead of himself here... Humming to himself, Elliot exited the dormitory for the male Sixth Year boys and headed towards a couch. He had left a book here last night and he could easily read it as he waited. He threw himself upon the comfortable cushions, and leaned backwards; grabbing his book and propping it open in front of himself. He began to read and quite lost himself in it, not paying attention to what was going on around him. Maybe he should have thought this plan more through. WORDS: 476 . TAGGED: Eleni .
