In fact, this wasn't technically the first time, seeing as every morning since she'd arrived and met her partner, she'd been having these kind of thoughts. Honestly, Andie was fairly sure she was going to go insane. Rubbing her eyes and sitting up, she decided it was probably best to get going. Make a round or two, possibly with her partner (honestly, she was going to kill him, she was pretty sure), before leaving Hogsmeade in his freakishly large hands and Apparating to her flat to check on her dog and play with him for a while, maybe take him for a walk. Rolling out of bed, she stumbled over to her newly packed dressers and pulled on a fresh pair of clothes before running a brush through her hair and scowling at how curly it was. No matter what she did with it, it never settled. Her hair wasn't bushy, per se, but she couldn't stand it when she couldn't get it to behave. Like today. It felt like absolutely everything in her life seemed to be going wrong at this point, not that she had it bad off. But this assignment sure wasn't turning out to be all it had been cracked up to be. After the recent attack on Hogsmeade village, Andrea had been assigned here as extra security, along with Liam O'Brien, the aforementioned partner who seemed to have an eternal stick up his arse. She'd read his file and knew that he'd gone on sabbatical, though it hadn't explained why, and whatever his deal was, she hoped he'd get over it soon. Because Andie absolutely hated dealing with him while he was constantly either brooding or trying to snap her head clean off. Deciding she appeared acceptable, she tucked her wand and room keys into her pocket before heading out into the hall. His door was closed, but in reality that didn't mean anything. Not even particularly caring what he was doing behind that door, she raised her fist and pounded on it. Five times. Not even bothering to see if he responded or opened his door, she trumped on down the stairs. If he wasn't down there in ten minutes, she'd leave without him. Andrea was pretty sure she could handle any threat that existed out there on her own, not that she'd ever been faced with any. For the past few years of being an Auror, she had pretty much done nothing but sit around and do and file paperwork. But now that the whole You-Know-Who thing had escalated, well... here she was. She was glad that she'd managed to get an assignment, even if it was in the light of a tragedy. Students killed, here in Hogsmeade... she never thought she'd live to see the day. Andie shook her head at the thought of it. Leaning against the wall near the door, she took out her wand and started fiddling with it, desperate for something to do. If there were two things that Andrea Brennan despised, they were waiting around and being bored. And as of right now, she was both. LIAM. 543. I FEEL LIKE THIS WAS A CRAPPY STARTER, BUT MEH. TEMPLATE BY OH SO COOPERNATURAL ! @ CAUTION. |
