Next post will be better, promise xD DREAM [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;] [/style]Working in the Goblin Liaison office was filling Bill with a sense of restlessness that not even pranking the goblins could alleviate any longer. He was doing his best to hide the shiftlessness he was feeling from his family, not for a second wanting any of them to feel as though he didn’t want to be home. Bill had known when he accepted the position that it was going to be mind-numbingly dull, but in the end he had been the one to ask for it. Complaining at this point would just lose him what little respect the goblins had for him – he knew that this was something he would just have to tough out quietly and he also knew that is reasons for it had been sound. Still, things were fairly quiet and the Dark Lord was keeping himself and his followers on the down low, which meant there was literally nothing for him to do other than try to seed some co-operation with Dumbledore amongst the goblins, which was going over about as well as anything did when it came to that species. As such, any little thing he received from his old boss in Egypt was a glorious distraction – though this time, it was a bit risky. Bill needed some potions ingredients that were not exactly on the ‘up and up’ from a Ministry standpoint, but they were necessary for making the elixir he was going to need to unlock the box Gurnuk had sent him. It was one he was familiar with; he’d seen them before in other tombs, so he knew how to get into it. It was solving what was inside that was going to be the tricky part – after getting the ingredients list, anyway. Bill knew there was only one place he was getting what he needed – and he also knew better than to head there alone, love of adventure or no. There was thrills, and then there was plain stupidity. As such, Bill had flung an owl off to his closest friend in the hopes he’d be willing to meet up with him in Diagon for a trip down Knockturn Alley. One of the best perks of returning to England had been getting back in contact with Liam – not that they hadn’t sent messages back and forth while he’d been in Egypt, but there was something about being able to just pop in on each other that Bill found himself rather liking, boring desk job notwithstanding. Loitering around the entrance to the Alley, Bill checked his list again before tucking it away, knowing he needed to be alert in this area and looking around for Liam, who was due to pop up any moment. |
