OVERALL PERSONALITY: Lucy is the adventurous type and athletic. She likes to do things like rock climbing (with or without gear), play Quidditch with her friends, and running. She is usually the person her group of friends go to for spontaneous adventures (which is how she ended up backpacking across Europe, though that’s another story entirely). She can be fairly reckless sometimes and finds herself getting into trouble a lot. She usually has her head in the clouds and dreams big so she needs someone who can bring her back down to earth sometimes. She has a problem of trusting too easily so she often finds herself hurt or feeling used but she tries not to let that stop her from making friends. She does, however, harbor an extreme dislike of people with purist ideals and finds Slytherins to be obnoxious, former Slytherins included.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: Lucy likes to dress up, though she rarely has the occasion or need to do so because of her job. She keeps her long hair tied back in a ponytail and sometime clips back her bangs. She can usually be found wearing jeans, practical boots or sneakers, and a somewhat loose t-shirt while she roams around different terrain to take care of or study magical creatures. When at home she wears shorts or yoga pants and a tank top.

OVERALL HISTORY: Lucy was born into a very loving family. Her mother had been trying for what felt like ages to the woman to have a baby and finally succeeded with her. She had a relatively normal and happy childhood, showing her first signs of magic with a case of levitating hiccups (much to the amusement of her parents). Her mother was a magizoologist until she became pregnant with Lucy and, in order to spend as much time as possible with her beloved child, she left her job, able to live comfortably off her husband’s paycheck. She told Lucy many a fanciful bedtime story and instilled in her an adoration of magical creatures, which would later turn into a passion.

Tragically, Lucy’s mother died during her second year at Hogwarts due to complications brought on in labor with her second child. She didn’t have a very good history of being able to carry a child to term and went into labor a couple of months early. The healers didn’t catch the aneurism in her heart in time and it burst because of the stress caused by the early labor. This resulted in her death.

Obviously this was a rough time for Lucy and she bonded to Charlie Weasley, who had a passion for dragons that rivaled her own when it came to magical creatures and was a fellow Gryffindor. She probably wouldn’t have passed her second and third years of school if not for him. Because of his impact on her life and their closeness, Lucy developed a crush on him which she harbored secretly, too afraid to tell him until, by her fifth year, she was absolutely head over heels for him and took the leap. They ended up dating for the entirety of her fifth year and his seventh, though he broke it off with her through a very long and tear-stained owl a month or two after he graduated and got the job as a dragonologist in Romania.

While this was heartbreaking for her, the distance between them (and the fact that he very hurtfully cut off all communication with her) made it easier for her to deal with it and lock it away in order to graduate school with flying colors and achieve her goal of becoming a magizoologist like her mother before her. While she is still very hurt and angry about the entire break-up with Charlie (he was an important part of her life, after all), she is unable to move on and finds herself sabotaging the various relationships she has tried to be in.
