She is motherly to the core. She would do anything for her children, and would put herself in danger in order to protect them. Her first instict-- always-- is for their well being. Molly has always been this way however. Since she was young, she has always looked out for her friends and those around her she cares for. People always teased that someday she would make the perfect mother. Do not let her soft nature fool you, however. She can be as hard as she needs to be when it comes to her loved ones. It doesn't just include her children; it also includes her husband, and anyone else she perceives as close to her. She would do anything to defend them and keep them from harm. She can be harsh and blunt when the need arises. She prefers not to be, but if push comes to shove then Molly will gladly shove back. Appearance: Molly is on the short and plump side. It comes from all the years she has been on this Earth, and possibly from all the children she has born her husband, Arthur. Her face can easily go from a cheery smile, to a fierce frown in an instant. She is a rather small woman, standing at 5'3, and her weight is only for her to know, thank you very much. Likes: Candy. Molly has a rather large sweet tooth. She just loves chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans! She does not try any of the candy her sons Fred and George try to give to her. She knows all too well what that might do. She is their mother, and understands better than others. She has a little stash of candy in the kitchen, though she would never tell her family where it is hidden. She knows them, and figures that they will eat it all like the hounds they are. Gardening. She hasn't had much time for it lately, but she does enjoy sitting down and getting her hands dirty. Oh sure, she has magic for that, but where would all the fun be if she used spells to grow her own vegetables and spices? Molly gets lost in the activity; when Arthur is away at work, and none of her children are at home, she will go outside and start to garden. That's after shooing away the gnomes, of course. Cooking. It's a good thing she enjoys cooking everything from scratch so much, otherwise her family probably would have starved over the years. Molly enjoys bustling about her kitchen as the pots and pans clatter, getting all the courses ready. The sauces bubbling, the pans sizzling, the oven crackling merrily. Oh yes, all of it is magic to dear Molly Weasley's ears. Dresses. Molly mostly wears dresses. She just enjoys the way they breeze about her feet and knees. Arthur also rather fancies them. Molly can feel like a young lady again if she puts herself in a pretty dress and walks around the house. Her husband smiling at her when she wears them also helps. Her Husband. This is rather obvious, they do have seven children. If they didn't like each other, they probably wouldn't have had so many. Her husband and her have been through many things: both wars, the birth of all seven of their children, scares and frights about said children, etc. She wouldn't trade him for the world. He is the only one who understands her completely, and she is the only one who smiles warmly at him when he starts blabbering about muggles and their inventions. She was blessed to meet a wonderful man such as him. Laughter. The most precious thing to Molly's ears are the sounds of laughter. Especially inside of her house or from her children, it is the easiest way to lift her heart. She could be in the foulest mood she has ever been in, but as soon as she hears her children laughing, so alive and so carefree, her heart eases and she can't help but to smile to herself. Cleaning. She rather fancies herself the perfect housewife. They might not have everything other people have, but what they do have Molly takes good care of. They haven't had to buy a new kitchen table in two decades. Their beds have lasted all of their children over the years. She cleans once a week, and airs out the laundry every three days when she does it. When her children are home she does loads of laundry more often to make sure everyone has clean clothes. She is rather obsessed with being a good house wife to Arthur. Dislikes: Blood Purity. Of course she dislikes this. She gets many frowns and demeaning comments when she goes out lately. There are people who hiss it when she is passing by and she turns to see who it was, only to find no one there or no one paying attention to her. She dislikes it completely. It shouldn't matter what purity your blood is; truthfully, your blood shouldn't be called pure or inpure. It's just blood, and it's just a ridiculous argument old pureblood wizard families spout from their gaping holes they call mouths every day. Cruelty. Molly can never forgive someone who is intentionally cruel to someone. It is a dispicable thing to set out to be mean to someone else. They are a human being and everyone deserves to be treated respectfully. Oh sure, there are times that Molly loses her patience, but she always feels bad if it's to someone who doesn't truly deserve it. Gnomes. They infest her yard. She had always wished Fred and George would be serious when getting rid of them. They made a sport out of it instead of making sure they stayed away. The gnomes don't take anyone in The Burrow seriously now. They fancy is a free for all, and they can come and go as they please. It angers Molly, but she always did stand in the kitchen window watching her twin boys throwing them and laughing. It had made her smile, so she supposed it was her fault in the end. She was just too pleased to be watching her healthy, young boys. History: Molly Prewett was born to Heather and Dirk Prewett in October 1949. She began attending Hogwarts in Fall of 1961, when she was eleven-years-old. She found the whole thing very exciting because her life up until then had been rather boring and ordinary. Her mother and father loved her, they worked day time jobs, they took holidays to take their family out to do things together, etc. She had three brothers (Fabien, Gideo, and Billius) and was the only girl blessed to the family. Growing up with those boys, she learned fast how to defend herself from their pranks and their teasing ways. She met Arthur while attending Hogwarts. When they reached Sixth Year they began dating, and Molly was smitten. She had found the other half of herself, and she knew it almost instantly. It was just this feeling inside of her that told her Arthur completed her. She didn't have to search any longer. It was soon after Arthur and she graduated in 1968 that they got married. Almost nine months from the day Molly had her first child: William, or later called Bill for short. Six more were to follow: Charlie, Percy, Fred, and George. She longed for a girl, but Ron was born next and Molly was still content. She loved her children regardless of gender, but was overjoyed when their last child (they had agreed ahead of time this would be their last) ended up being a girl which they named Ginevra, or Ginny for short. Molly's life would have been perfect if not for the First Wizarding War. Arthur and herself lived in almost constant fear that something would go wrong and Voldemort would rise to power. She would not allow herself or her husband to sign up for the Order. Though she longed to fight in the war and to be part of a cause she believed in, she would not jeapordize her children and their lives with their parents. When Voldemort fell because of the baby Harry Potter, peace reigned once more. Soon it was time for her children to go away to Hogwarts like she had done in her youth. She was sad to see them go, but she knew it was the step they needed to take as they grew. She enjoyed her time with her other children as Bill left, then Charlie, and then Percy, etc. Each one followed the next until it was just Ron and Ginny. Then two years after Fred and George left, Ron was gone. Next was her baby-- Ginny-- and it was just Molly and Arthur. It was a little sad, seeing so many of their children leave and then graduate to move on with their lives elsewhere, but they got through it. Together. The second war came around and this time Molly was going to fight for a cause she believed in. Her children were grown, and they could fend for themselves. She would not want them to participate in the war, but a lot of them were of age now and could decide on their own. Molly wasn't one to sit down and take it; she was going to fight tooth and nail to defend the world and the loved ones she had within it. Kali || 22 || 8+ years || Female || A lot! |
