Titles: Head Boy – In Hogwarts, this was his biggest accomplishment and to this day he is still proud about it. Don’t ask him about the title unless you’re prepared to hear him gloat a lot. Prefect – Percy the prefect. In his fifth year he was named prefect, like others before him in his family. He enjoyed it in taking power over others and having authority. Also, it allowed him to punish the twins and get back at them for taking the mickey out of him. Court Scribe – This is his ministry title. Of course, another one he is very proud of, maybe a little too proud in that he left his family over it. It’s not one of his finer moments in life, and he doesn’t like to talk about that. Nickname: Some people call him Perce, though he would prefer his full name. Not a lot of people do call him Perce though outside of his family. Also, since he hasn’t been with his family since 1994 it bothers him when people call him that. It reminds him of his siblings. He would prefer Percy if someone plans on shortening his name though. Wand: 11”, apple, dragon heartstring, unyielding. Family: Molly Weasley – Percy’s mother, who he loves more than anything contrary to how she might feel at the moment. He hurt her and he knew that, but now he can’t face it. His mother was his favorite parent in her personality and the way she loved him as a son. She was always so proud of him and he strived to impress her as much as he could, though, with his job at the Ministry he didn’t feel like he impressed her anymore. This was frustrating to him. Maybe that was one of the reasons why he blew up like he did. Arthur Weasley – Though Percy’s favorite is his mother, he still love his father very much. After the row with his father he is still a little bum hurt, even two years later. He wanted his father to be proud of him and it wasn’t the reaction he got. The things he said to his father he wishes he could take back. Though they didn’t have much money growing up Percy did get a lot of things he wanted. He looks up to his father still, hoping to become a man like him instead of what Percy is now. William Weasley – Percy’s oldest brother, and one that he always looked up to while growing up. Though Bill’s taste in occupation seemed a little too daring to Percy he still respected his brother. He did think that he should cut his hair though. He agreed with his mother whole-heartedly on that. Charles Weasley – Percy doesn’t see him much, and what he remembers of Charlie was from when they were younger. He didn’t see his brother much in school either because they had completely different interests. Again, Charlie has such a daring profession that Percy admires, but couldn’t imagine doing. Somewhere down the line it seemed like adventure and the exciting lifestyle had skipped over Percy and hit all of his other siblings instead. His fondest memory of Charlie, and Bill, was watching them joust with tables. He envied them and their personalities. Frederick & George Weasley – Though their not the same person, and both had distinct differences, Percy still classified them as together. He knew there weren’t many moments in the twin’s lives that they were apart from one another. They were a pain in the arse to him, but he still loves them. He loved the way they’re able to turn anything into a joke and feels the worst about leaving them the way he did. Of course, they probably made a joke out of it. Thinking of the names they must be calling him hurts him deep down though. He just tries not to show it. Ronald Weasley – Percy loves Ron just like the rest of them, though he doesn’t have as strong of a relationship with Ron. He never really related to him much. He does enjoy playing chess with his youngest brother. Percy just doesn’t like losing, and he does that a lot when playing Chess with Ronald. Ginevra Weasley – Percy wishes that he could be around more for his sister. This is another reason that he hates himself for leaving his family like he did. He’s missing his baby sister grow up and he isn’t around to protect her and help her. Family Overall: His siblings growing up teased Percy relentlessly as they were growing up. He was the only one that needed glasses because of how poor his eyesight was. His parents didn’t have the money to take him to St. Mungos to fix something that silly, and Percy truthfully loved his horn-rimmed glasses. He thought that he looked rather sharp in them but according to Fred he looked more like a specky git. Needless to say Percy didn’t have the highest confidence in his looks. However, he was very bright and his parents loved that about him. He had fun growing up in his house and they didn’t have a lot of money but they made the best of it. Percy wasn’t always in the middle playing with his siblings. He preferred to sit along on the side and watch. They loved playing Quidditch while he preferred reading. Sometimes he thought he was adopted. The family trip to Egypt was one of his fondest memories, though the twins did try to shut him in a pyramid…. He found the trip to be highly educational, and he enjoyed spending the time with his family, all of them. Likes: Reading – Books are one of his favorite things. He enjoys reading before he goes to bed or really just at any time. It’s something that de-stresses him and he loves reading all kind of books. His favorite is textbooks though, that others would study from. He reads them and considers it to be a good read while others would consider it to be boring. Being early – It’s less stressful for him and he much prefers being early as to on time or even late, not that that has ever happened before. His job – Percy loves his job, he looks forward to it each day. Hermes – His owl is one of his only companions now and just something for him to talk to when he needs to. Chess – He isn’t as good as Ronald, but he’s not bad either. Dislikes: Being called names – No one likes that and Percy isn’t the exception. He hates being called names though his brothers do it to him all the time. They aren’t the only ones though. Failure – Although it happens to everyone Percy cannot stand failing at something. Incompetence – He can’t stand not being able to do something. Also, he wishes to be qualified for everything, so being incompetent is definitely one of his dislikes. Lack of Respect – Percy’s biggest pet peeve is when people show a complete lack of any respect for rules or authority, being one who respects those things very much himself. Loud noises – There isn’t much of a reason besides the fact that loud noises just scare him. Spiders – Just like Ron, he hates them. Getting wet – He hates getting caught in the rain. Being Late – Nothing else to be said here. Strengths: Intelligence – Percy isn’t stupid. He did excellent in Hogwarts earning brilliant marks and got top grades on his O.W.L.s. On his N.E.W.T.s, he got perfect scores and was excited for his future outside of the school. Patient – He’s very patient in things that he does, except for waiting. He can’t stand waiting to find out things about himself. Though, he has high confidence in himself so he doesn’t expect failure when he’s waiting. Kind – Deep down he’s not a bad guy, though it seems like it in how he acted with his family. When you get to know him he’s very compassionate and caring about others. He really does care how you’re feeling and hates to upset and disappoint others. This is why the row he had with his family is eating away at him. Determined – Percy strives for perfection, and therefore he is determined. When he wants something he works his hardest to get it, failing as many times as he has to in order to obtain that goal or want. Serious – He isn’t really sure if this is more of a strength than a weakness. He guesses that it can be both sometimes. In short he’s just generally always serious, about everything. His life is pretty much all work and no play. Weaknesses: Shy – Percy is painfully shy and has a hard time in large groups. Pretentious – So he tries to impress almost everyone he meets, even if he actually isn’t that impressive in reality. It’s a flaw, he knows, trying to work on it. Brags – This is a bit like the one above. He just has a habit of bragging about himself. Really he doesn’t know he’s doing it. Thinking that he’s just talking about himself and expressing his accomplishments, he doesn’t realize that no one really cares and that he’s bragging. Lack of Humor – Okay, so Percy somewhat lacks a sense of humor. He can make a joke and sometimes take one, but he doesn’t do it often. He also doesn’t find a lot of things funny that other people do. Goal: To be an accomplished man, but with his family also by his side and a family/wife of his own. Boggart: He Who Must Not Be Named Patronus: Owl. It’s an ironic patronus right? Owls are said to be very wise, however in reality they aren’t the most intelligent. This suits Percy well in that he believes much about himself that isn’t all that true in the end. His fondest memory is the day they took the picture in Egypt because it was all of his family happy and together. Recently he hasn’t been able to cast one, ever since he left his family. Physical: Percy is tall, standing at about 6’2 and he’s extremely thin weighing in at about 155. He’s a bit gangly and though he tries to walk around as dignified and confident he just looks silly and pretentious. His favorite things about him are his horn-rimmed glasses and blue eyes. His least favorites are the massive amount of freckles taking over his face and his flaming red hair. Though he doesn’t mind the red hair much, he doesn’t enjoy being mad fun of for it. He doesn’t really understand why people poke fun at his hair color, but regardless he doesn’t like it. Marisa || 18 || Forever || Female || Freddie & Neville |
