OVERALL PERSONALITY: Zelda loves to have things done a certain way and when they're not done that way, she thinks that the world will implode and everyone will die. She's very picky and is known to have quite a bad temper with not much encouragement. She isn't exactly stuck up, but she loves to have things her way and sometimes she can have a bit of a haughty manner about her when she's around certain people. She looks up to her brother and she loves spending time with him, pretty much no matter what it is. Her brother, Alexander is twenty-six years old and is a Healer at St. Mungo's. Her sister, on the other hand, she can't stand. Marie may be the most negative person that Zelda had ever met. She will constantly talk about how ridiculous their father is and how much she hates him. They definitely do not get along and it really annoys Zelda because she has always wanted a big sister that would actually be there for her and the rest of the family.
With the negative aspects of Zelda's personality put aside, she can be quite a wonderful person to be around. She always puts her friends first and would do absolutely anything for them. She isn’t outwardly goofy most of the time, but she has a very dry sense of humor and it’s quite popular amongst her friends. It's sometimes hard for her to keep friends, though because of the way she acts. Zelda is certainly not afraid to spout her opinion about anything and often doesn't take other people's feelings into account. This isn't because she is cold or uncaring, but it's more because she just doesn't think about it. She doesn't understand when people are overly sensitive because she's not very sensitive at all, unless it comes to her friends' or family's problems.
Because of the influence of her father and other things, Zelda has developed quite an interest for the supernatural. She has become obsessed with helping her father or even surpassing him in finding the cure for lycanthropy. She hates seeing the pain that he goes through every single month and she wants to put a stop to it, if at all possible.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: Zelda is a very dainty girl and appears to be incredibly weak. She stands at five feet, four inches and only weighs about one hundred and twenty pounds. Zelda has fair skin, which is a mixture of her genes and her staying inside, especially in places that don’t have any windows. Her eyes are a dark brown and are slightly slanted, so that it looks like she is almost always smiling. Her hair (which is usually a dark brown, but it depends on how much sun she’s gotten), is always in a different style. Sometimes it’s curly, sometimes it’s straight, sometimes it’s up, sometimes it’s down. Zelda has a slight disfigurement on her right arm. She accidentally crossed her father while he was in werewolf form one full night and while he did not scratch her, he made her fall into the table of potions behind her. The mixture of the potions along with the broken glass made it impossible to completely heal the wound, so she does her best to hide it. She is very fashion conscious and tries to look her best at all times, but of course, occasionally she will fall victim to fashion problems, just like everybody else. She can rarely be found in casual clothes.

OVERALL HISTORY:It was December 15th that the Garretts were graced with the presence of yet another child into their lives while they were on holiday in Paris.
They called her their Christmas baby and they named her Zelda, after her grandmother. Her attitude problem came out in her early years. She would want what she wanted at that very moment and not later. Her terrible twos didn't seem to have passed by the time she was almost four, so her parents started to come down harder on her. As a result, she learned to be a bit sneaky. By the time she was five years old, she started to show a bit of a sharp tongue, scolding her young classmates for their bad manners. At six years old, she showed signs of magical ability when she caused roses to spring up all over the house.
When Zelda was younger, she idolized her older sister, Marie, until she started to realize that she was a bit different from the rest of the family. Marie passed the age of which students received the Hogwarts letter and nothing came, nor did she show any signs at all of having a magical talent. Zelda and Alexander grew closer, while Marie grew apart from the whole family. The whole family found it hard to accept Adam's condition, but Marie resented it. It saddened Zelda to watch her sister become the black sheep of the Garretts. She had always looked up to her big sister, as was natural for a younger sister, but upon seeing the difference between them, then soon stopped and she started to look up to her older brother.
Zelda's father's lifetime goal was to find the cure to Lycanthropy. Parts of the family have thought him mad for even trying to invent such a thing as most people think that it's an impossible endeavor. Of course, the most reasonable way to see if his cures worked was to get a werewolf to come and agree to be tested upon. Adam had a system where the werewolf would have to be locked up or he would have to perform the experiment in a special area. It was for the safety of everyone. One night when Adam was experimenting on a certain werewolf, he got bitten. Adam and Rose, of course, kept this a secret from the children, but most importantly, Zelda, since she was the youngest.
Adam came up with the idea of putting himself in a cage in a hidden room in the basement that the children didn’t know about when it was time for his transformation, so he would be able to stay out of sight and continue his experimentations on himself. Rose had sound proofed not the basement door, but the door to the hidden room itself. However, it seemed that she had missed a side of the door because when at age ten, Zelda was passing by the basement door one day, she heard her father’s yell of pain that turned into a howl. Not thinking, she flung the door open and raced down the stairs, but she didn’t find anything. She soon discovered the hidden door. This was when she found out about her father’s lycanthropy. She approached him to attempt to ‘reach’ her father from beneath the furry exterior. He lashed out a her through the cage and she fell back against a table of potions, causing the beakers to shattered. The mixture of the potions along with the glass caused a long cut on her arm.
The next year on her birthday, Zelda received the acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The family was obviously not surprised at all, but proud of her all the same. That September, she was sorted into Ravenclaw, just like the rest of her family (besides Marie, obviously). This is where she met her two best friends, Lydia and Celia. She discovered her love for potions and her talent for transfiguration. In her later schooling years, she was prefect and later, Head Girl.
Over the years, Zelda became almost as obsessed as her father was to find a cure for lycanthropy. She started developing her own research to try to find a cure. Zelda often went into her father’s laboratory to either watch him work or look at his experiments, but one day she was down there and found something she wasn’t expecting to find: his notes on the lycanthropy cure. He never kept these out in the open because he wanted to keep them a secret until he was absolutely sure about his findings. She continued to sneak down there when she knew that he wouldn’t be there to find the notes and copy them down into her own notebook. Zelda was going to do all she could to help her father find the cure to his condition.
After Zelda graduated Hogwarts, Alex invited her into the Order, thinking that she would be an asset to the group. She applied for a job at Flourish and Blotts. She loved the idea of being surrounded by books while working, having a variety of books at her disposal while she continued her father's research. The owner of the shop was not too picky about who worked there, so she was hired. The money was good and the public was not completely terrible. However, over the years, the disorganization of the store became too much for her. She attempted to reorganize the store, but the owner was too attached to the way he had set things up. Zelda quite out of frustration.
For the next chapter of her life, Zelda got a job as a secretary in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. She did not choose this department just on a whim. As she was very close to several werewolves and vampires, she wanted to learn the inner workings of the department to see if there was anything she could do to alter the creatures' rights.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
Zelda had been researching and researching and she just couldn't find more answers past what her father had given her. Drat. She has stolen her father's research on lycanthropy and ever since he had gotten bitten, she had been trying to pursue an answer. Zelda and her father were trying to find a cure to the lycanthropy curse, but her father was so much more educated in the curse than she was. She had come up with one way to proceed in her studies, but she had hit a roadblock.
She stood behind the main counter of the library, going through the returned books. It horrified her how harsh some people could be with library books. Where was the respect? She absentmindedly flipped through random books and was disgusted to see that people had written in them, folded the pages and even ripped some of them out! Some people.
The next book she picked out of the bin was one of those popular Twilight books. Rolling her eyes, she slapped it down onto the counter to get re-shelved. The loud noise earned her a few glares from people, but she merely glared back. Sighing, she collected the books to be re-shelved and placed them on a cart.
"Down to business," she said, almost speaking to the books themselves. Zelda proceeded to push the cart around the library, putting the books in their assigned places, making sure everything was in perfect order. Just as she turned into the historical fiction section, she halted, horrified as she saw a couple making out at the back of the section. Pursing her lips, she quickly moved forward and stopped just as the cart hit the back of the man.
"Get out. Now," she said, clenching her jaw. The man, who apparently thought that he was God's gift to women, merely glanced her over and just when he was about to saw something, Zelda snapped,"OUT. NOW." The couple exchanged an annoyed look, but did as they were told.
After returning the books to that particular section, Zelda moved on to the adult romance section. She had never been a fan of these kinds of books, but even she sometimes caught herself fantasizing about having a special someone eventually. Not now, though. It would just make things too complicated.
"Oh, hello," she said, quietly when she saw a girl in front of her. She'd never seen the girl before, so perhaps she was new in town. "I've not seen you before, did you just move here? Is there anything I can help you with?"
