[/b]Remus has always disliked his Lycanthrophy and always keeps the condition to himself. He is always scared that someone might find out and judge him due to it. Because of this, he will do anything for people just so they will like him.
Butterbeer: Remus has quite the weakness for this sugary drink.
Chocolate: He just loves the stuff; Remus normally eats it when he is feeling a little down. However, he mainly eats it due to he enjoys the sugary taste.
Helping others: Remus will do anything to help others. This can be from something as simple as giving advice, right up to helping them with a serious issue.
Reading: Remus has always enjoyed reading; he likes nothing more than to sit in front of the fire reading a good book. He enjoys learning new things and looking up facts.
Pranks: Remus does enjoy the occasional prank and it shows his more daring side of his personality. You better watch out, because you never know when Moony will strike.
Being around others who care about him
Defence Against The Dark Arts: Remus has always enjoyed the subject from a young age, he finds it all so fascinating. He even managed to get a job at Hogwarts teaching a few years back, however he had to retire for personal reasons.
Teaching: This has always been a passion of Remus’s; it comes from his love for helping others. He once taught at Hogwarts and enjoyed every moment of it. He misses it greatly.
Tonks: Remus won’t admit it, but he does have a soft spot for a certain witch named Nymphadora Tonks. He feels that he is too old for her though, plus he thinks that she wouldn’t feel comfortable around someone such as himself. The main thing that comes in to play is his Lycanthrophy. Remus is always scared that he will hurt Tonks due to it, which would then therefore unlock his biggest fear. Hurting someone due to the one thing he wishes he could control.

[/b] This is mainly due to association which may have stemmed originally from his school years. Remus knows that when the full moon rises, that the painful transformation of becoming what he hates most starts all over again.
His lycanthrophy: Remus feels his condition is some kind of curse. He has never enjoyed having it, if he had it his way he would be rid of it. Over the years he has come to accept his condition but not the prejudice and sour attitude that people have towards his kind. Remus likes to think he isn’t like the other werewolves and a savage beast. Plus, he is always scared that people will avoid him due to it, along with the fact that it has made finding work a struggle.
Bullying: Remus hates anything to do with bullying, this is most likely due to he was bullied himself back in his school days. He refuses to be part of anything to do with the subject and will back down if a fight occurs.
Hates people who are prejudice: When it comes to werewolves and the Wizarding world, the two have never mixed together very well. Most view werewolves as savage beasts who kill and turn others for fun. This has in turn become a soft spot for Remus, because he likes to think he doesn’t full under this stereotype.
Traitors: Remus doesn’t like backstabbers; he feels that everyone should be good to each other. An example being when he was wrong about Sirius killing Lily and James to instead later find out it was Peter Pettigrew. This has been only one of the rare occasions that he has wanted to kill someone.
Disloyalty: Remus has always been the type to be loyal and true to his friends and loves ones. He dislikes disloyalty and people who turn their back on others who have helped them.
Pranks: Remus might sometimes laugh off the occasional prank, however due to his shy nature he can get embarrassed quite easily.
Rude people: Remus doesn’t see the meaning for people to be rude, he doesn’t like it but he won’t say it to their face.
Being put on the spot: Remus doesn’t like to feel exposed, he might wear his heart on his sleeve but a lot of the time he hides it well. He doesn’t like to put his issues on other people’s shoulders; instead he would rather work them out himself.
Arguments: Unless he is being stubborn and feels he is right, instead of hurting someone Remus would rather simply walk away from an argument. He doesn’t enjoy being the source of someone’s hurt and hatred.
Fenrir Greyback: Remus doesn’t hate the man as such, more along the lines of feels sorry for him. But he doesn’t agree with the way Fenrir uses his Lycanthrophy or what he has done to Remus.

STRENGNTHS:

[/b] When it comes to the art of duelling, this is one department that Remus has been quite successful in. He has been in a few battles with the order over the years, which up to now he has been lucky to survive.
Talented in Charms: Charms and Remus mix well; he has even learnt the art of wandless and non-verbal magic through it. Also, he is able to cast a Patronus charm, which is considered one of the harder charms. A good example is The Marauders map, which is an enchanted map of the Hogwarts castle.
Good at Transfiguration: Remus is gifted in Transfiguration; he even had the ability to transform Peter back from his Animagus form once.
Very good at flying: He doesn’t fly often, however when Remus does he isn’t too bad at it.
Kind hearted: Remus is a gentle soul who enjoys helping others and offering advice. He likes to be the sort of person who helps solves everyone’s issues, rather than his own.
Even-tempered: Remus is good tempered and a patient man, it takes a lot for him to lose his fuse. This is due to he is always afraid that he will unleash the beast inside of him and hurt someone.
Bringing out the best in everyone: Remus is the kind of man who likes to see the strengths in everyone, even if they can’t see it themselves. A good example of this was when he tried to show Neville how to counter a Boggart. He likes to help people see the better of themselves and give themselves more confidence.
Good at giving advice: Remus likes to be a shoulder to cry on or someone to go for advice. He will sometimes give advice even if it’s not needed, especially if that person is about to run in and do something dangerous. However, he mainly does it to protect the people he cares for at heart.
Doesn’t like to get involved in fights: Due to the prejudice attitude he has suffered as a child and adult, Remus is against any form of bullying. He isn’t the type of person to get involved with fights, instead he would rather change the subject or walk away from the arguement. Remus has a weakness in the sense of not liking to hurt others but in a way this could be a strength too.
Intelligent: Remus doesn’t like to rub it in, however he can be quite an intelligent man if he wants to be. He did well in various school subjects and enjoyed reading books; he is also quite talented in Defence Against The Dark Arts: This is a subject that has always interested Remus; he is also quite talented in the subject as well. He has knowledge on how to counter all sorts of Magical Creatures.
Selfless: Remus will do anything for other people; due to his condition he likes people to like him. However, he is loyal and will do something to help others over himself. This includes defending others in the heat of battle. Remus can be a brave man if he wants to be.
Cares about others: Remus has a very caring nature, he doesn’t like to see his friends or the people he loves hurt. The werewolf feels especially guilty if he knows he is the one who inflicted the damage to begin with.
Calm: Remus is a calm and quiet sort of man, who would rather watch something unfold before his eyes than jump straight in to the situation. Also, it means that he can keep a level head in the most difficult situations and make quick decisions when needed.
Mature: Remus was always considered to be the more mature one of the Marauders, this might have been mainly due he preferred to study than bully a certain Slytherin.
Good sense of humour: Back in his school days, Remus was quite the prankster. Sure, he enjoyed studying but he also got in to trouble when he pulled the occasional prank in his group known as the Marauders. Remus also loves the occasional joke and can be quite witty sometimes.

[/b] This is a big fear with Remus, he fears if people find out that he is a werewolf then they will judge him. He is always afraid that people will abandon him due to learning about his condition.
He can be a bit of a coward: Remus is the type of man to runaway from his problems, rather than take them face on. He is also a coward when it comes to putting things right in an argument and has a weakness of not putting a stop to a bad situation.
Very forgiving nature: Remus is a very forgiving person due to he doesn’t want people turning their back on him. Once again this all links back to his condition and how he likes to be liked.
He likes people to like him: This is Remus’s biggest weakness. He is scared people won’t speak to him due to he is a werewolf and so will do anything to please someone. Remus likes to make people feel they can like him, whilst hiding his own dark secret.
Unable to control his werewolf form: A big fear of Remus’s is he is always afraid of hurting someone. Back in his teaching days, he was given Wolfsbane to help calm the beast so to speak. Remus would simply curl up in his office in his werewolf form, however now he hates not being able to control the beast. Remus has become covered in various scars due to the beast getting the better of him, his emotions rising and coming out fully in this form too.
Shy: A shy person at heart, Remus is a quiet person who only speaks when spoken too. He can be very shy around people he doesn’t know as well.
Self-contained: He likes to keep his emotions to himself; Remus isn’t the type to talk about his problems. No, instead he would rather keep it all bottled and deal with it on his own. Rare will he ask for help but instead suffer on his own.
Not good when it comes to emotions: Remus isn’t the type to deal with his emotions, due to he always feels so mixed about everything. He is always seeking to protect others rather than himself and so has grown a thick shell to help deal with it. Also, he might not show it but he does get depressed sometimes and it gets to him.
Loyalty: Sometimes Remus can be a little too loyal, which the end result can be he gets himself in to something deeper than he should have to start with. Remus has suffered some heartache due to he has been loyal to the wrong type of person.
His lycanthrophy: Remus hates his condition. He has never enjoyed the condition; it has only caused him issues all his life. However, he keeps that to himself and doesn’t share his own feelings, instead he simply deals with it.
Fear of hurting someone he loves or cares for due to his lycanthrophy: This is pretty self-explanatory, however he is always afraid that once transformed, that due to having no control he will unleash the beat and really hurt someone.
Stubborn: Stubborn is definitely a word that describes Remus. He can be very stubborn of his ways sometimes, which in turn leads him in to his own issues. If Remus feels passionate or serious enough about something, he will stubbornly explain why.
Tonks: He has fallen for her, no matter how much he denies it to himself. Remus is scared of letting her in and showing her the real him, Remus is afraid that he will only hurt her and that Tonks would be better off without him. A part of him feels exposed around her and it scares him, along with the new emotion of being in love.

This is something that Remus longs to remove, so he can no longer live in fear of it. He knows there is no cure, only Wolfsbane that calms down the beast. That doesn’t stop him from hoping that one day he can be normal again though.

When it comes to Remus, on the outside he looks like your average man. However, what people don’t know is that underneath he is hiding his own secret. Remus is a kind, friendly and warm person who always puts others before himself. Remus always was considered the mature one of the Marauders. Also he can be a little bit of a bookworm. Books and Remus go together well, he enjoys studying Defence Against The Dark Arts in particular. He will defend his friends, along with his happy to give advice and help others when they need it. Plus, he has a good temperament and is very patient. Remus is talented in charms, quite a good duellist, intelligent and caring. Remus can be a little shy; along with he won’t show if something is bothering him due to he doesn’t like to drag other people in to his problems. Remus will also keep things to himself, in the sense of he will brush off if someone has offended or upset him. Remus would instead apologise and show his forgiving side, he has a very forgiving nature. Remus is a selfless man, in the sense that he would put other people’s safety before his own.

A werewolf bit Remus when he was small; this in turn infected him with Lycanthrophy. Due to this, Remus finds it hard to make friends due to he fears they may find out about his deep dark secret. His lycanthrophy is something he dislikes and fears people will judge him for it. When it comes to the full moon and his monthly transformations, they are both uncomfortable and painful for Remus. However, despite this Remus doesn’t try to let his lycanthrophy get to him but sometimes it slips out in the form of his moods. His friends liked to refer to his condition as his “furry little problem” and also he has gained the nickname Moony as well. That is where he is thankful to have his friends; Remus was also part of a group known as the Marauders. Remus cared about them greatly; he was even known to let them get away with bullying. When it comes to bullying, Remus stays away from it and flat out refuses to participate. No, instead he is the type of man who would rather walk away from conflict, then stay and confront it. Some would say that in a way that would make him a bit of a coward. Back in his school days, Remus was in Gryffindor House and even became Prefect. But that didn’t stop Remus from feeling guilty when it came to not having much control over his friends. This was especially evident when he didn’t have the courage to tell Dumbledore about his friends being Animagi or when their bullying went too far. Snape in particular was a favourite target of his friends.

That is not always the case; Remus just has a little problem with controlling his own emotions sometimes. The only real time Remus will snap is the week before the full moon, where he is normally tired and not quite himself or if something has gotten to him and built up. However, at heart Remus has a good sense of humour and enjoys the occasional prank. Remus also likes to have other people accept him for who he is; due to he is always in fear that they will find out about his lycanthrophy. Romance wise, Remus has always been a little unsure about it. Remus is more of the quiet type, who will observe a situation before he feels the need to interrupt in any form. One of Remus’s main loves is chocolate, he enjoys the sweet flavour and also like many other witches and wizards, Butterbeer. Remus also likes to follow the rules, however he is known occasionally to break them for a bit of fun. The more stubborn side of his personality shows occasionally, this is especially evident if he feels he is going to put his friends in danger.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: When it comes to facial features, Remus’s eyes are the main thing that stands out from the rest. His eyes are almond shaped, quite large and a beautiful almost sky blue. When he is angry they usually go a slightly darker blue to reflect his mood. When it comes to a week before the full moon, his eyes are usually darker in colour but not that noticeable unless you know what your looking for. His nose stands out slightly but not too much, his hair is a light brown colour with flecks of grey mixed in. The grey comes from his transformations and how much stress it causes on his body. Remus is normally quite tired and sickly looking, he tends to not show his emotions in anyway either. He is normally seen with either a thick moustache or quite a thick beard on his face too, it’s rare that you will see Remus with a clean-shaven look. Also, he normally has dark circles under his eyes due to not much sleep and normally pushing himself too much. However, he is always normally showing a kind smile on his lips or a simple neutral one. Appearance wise, Remus is quite tall and lanky in appearance. He doesn’t have much muscle structure, however he is stronger than he looks. Remus is around 6’2 in height which is a just a little taller than the average man. When it comes to clothing, Remus is normally seen in simple but often worn out or tattered clothing. The clothing is made up by a simple suit, which is brown in colour with a white shirt underneath and black shoes to top off the look. That or he can be seen walking around in a plain shirt, a blue jumper and brown trousers to complete the look. Remus’s look is a more formal and gentlemen type of look. Also, he can sometimes be seen in his trademark traveling cloak when returning from a trip.

OVERALL HISTORY:

Remus was born on March 10 1960,when he was younger Remus was bitten by a werewolf; this was due to his father angered the werewolf known as Fenrir Greyback. He was born in to a half-blood family, his mother being the Muggle born and his father was the Pure-Wizard. This came as a shock to his parents, who in turn tried to do everything they could to help Remus in finding a cure. Due to him being a werewolf, at first they were very unsure if he was safe to attend Hogwarts due to the safety of the other students. However, he was allowed in due to Dumbledore could not see what issue there was when it came to his lycanthropy. Once he had arrived at Hogwarts, Remus was sorted in to Gryffindor house, however it did come with one other condition. The condition was that he would have to go to The Shrieking Shack once a month in order to stop him hurting other students. This alone bothered Remus; due to the isolation this only frustrated him more. He dealt with this by attacking himself to let it go, the near by villagers of Hogsmeade would mistaken him for some sort of violent ghost. This was due to he would scream in pain, Dumbledore instead helped Remus by keeping the rumours of ghosts true to help Remus.

While at Hogwarts he became best friends with Sirius Black, James Potter and Peter Pettigrew. Pettigrew later betrayed the Potters and in turn Sirius as well. Remus continued to keep his secret even away from his friends, this was due to he was scared that would walk away from him if they knew. So, he continued to disappear once a month like he always did, going to what was then known as The Shrieking Shack. This continued throughout his first year, however when it came to his second year his friends worked it out and accepted Remus none the less. James, Peter and Sirius upon hearing this news decided to become Animaguses, so they could keep Remus Company during his monthly visits. They managed to achieve this by their fifth year; Sirius became a dog, James a Stag and Peter a rat. When Remus went to transform they would sneak out under James invisibility cloak and go in to the tunnel. Once they had transformed they would then go meet up with Remus, this in time helped to tame Remus mentally but he was still a wolf in appearance. Remus, Sirius, James and Peter soon gained the nicknames of Moony for Remus due to his lycanthropy, Padfoot due to Sirius was a dog, Wormtail was Peter’s due to his rat form and finally Prongs due to James became a Stag. He was also good friends with Lily Evans during this time as well.

The four of them formed The Marauders, who in turn together also made The Marauders Map. The map was a piece of parchment, which was enchanted to keep track of anyone in Hogwarts, a clever piece of magic considering their age. Remus himself kept out of the bullying the rest of them took part in; overall he was a good student but at heart was a bit of a prankster too. Even Remus would sometimes land up in detention with his friends for causing some sort of mischief; between the four of them they seemed to know Hogwarts and the grounds very well. The map was later confiscated by Filch, when exactly this happened is unknown however. Remus later became a Prefect, but had a few issues when it came to disciplining his friends when they misbehaved. When he had graduated from Hogwarts, Remus went to join the Order of the Phoenix, which even now he is still a part of. Along with his friend and Lily they went to fight against Lord Voldemort and his gang of Death Eaters. When it came to be employed however Remus had a lot of issues, due to he was a werewolf and people saw this as a bad thing. This was when James kindly stepped in and helped Remus in his time of need. Unfortunately at one stage he was a suspected spy for Voldemort and Sirius came to distrust him as a person, due to this Remus decided against being in the plan to keep the Potters safe. Remus thought Sirius was the secret keeper only to later find out Peter instead took place as their Secret Keeper and like said before later betrayed Lily and James Potter, hence his distrust of Sirius 2 years ago.

Later in his life, he however did manage to get a job at Hogwarts. Remus managed to get the position as the school’s Defence Against The Dark Arts Professor. None of the students at the time knew he was a werewolf, but the staff knew of his condition. When he was teaching he did however teach his classes a lot about The Dark Arts. Remus in particular taught them about the many Dark creatures involved in this particular area. This was also where he introduced the class to Boggarts. The Boggart turned in to Remus’s real fear, that being a full moon. Luckily for Remus Snape gave him Wolfsbane potion while he taught at the school. This was also the year when Remus learnt the truth of how Sirius hadn’t betrayed the Potters, but instead that Peter had. After this event, he decided to resign from his teacher position due to parents finding out about his lycanthrophy; this was also when he handed the Marauders map over to Harry. He moved later on to the current Order of The Phoenix, he also a member of the Advance Guard too. Remus lived at Sirius’s house for a while, but was rarely seen due to he was always out on missions set by the Order.

The death of Remus’s old childhood friend Sirius Black brought a great shock to Remus. The man had died during their battle at the Department of Mysteries, which took place in 1996. He watched as his friend Sirius fell through a veil and to his death after Bellatrix Lestrange cast a curse causing the man to fall in to the veil. Remus even had to prevent Harry from diving in after the man, something Remus would never forget.This was also the year in which he found himself falling for a certain young witch named Nymphadora Tonks, who of which Remus refused to believe that he had feelings for and so pushed her away. He claimed that he was too old, too poor and too dangerous for her and so the battle of emotions began. Now he currently lives in a rented room at The Leaky Cauldron, where he is attempting to pull all his emotions together slowly but surely.

Caught. Remus cringed a little as he heard his wife raise her voice; it was then that Remus knew he was in trouble. The older man let out a heavy sigh, before reaching up and pinching his nose lightly and being lost with what to say or do. So, he had been right about his wife being pregnant, why hadn’t he seen the signs? Remus mentally kicked himself, before opening his eyes again as the news slowly sunk in to his system. Shock was one way to explain his state of mind, however that didn’t cover all of it and he wasn’t sure of his other emotions right now. Remus was not the type of man to deal with conflict, if he could avoid it then he would. The yelling made him visibly cringe, which in turn made Remus step away and turn his back for a moment. Remus was normally quite calm, however the shock of hearing he was having a child was getting to him. He was shaking with emotion, he didn’t know how to react, and one of his worse fears had come true. There was no denying he was scared, scared didn’t cover it more like he was terrified. That and along with the all too familiar emotion of guilt was slowly drowning him right now. “Dora.. I.” Remus began as he moved to touch her, however he decided against it at the last minute. Remus sighed softly before looking around the room, then moving forward and gently leaning down to his wife. “Come here, I’m sorry Dora. I didn’t mean to upset you.” Remus said in a soft and quiet tone, as he put his arms around her and pulled his wife in to a hug. Yes, his own emotions were all over the place but he wanted to calm down his wife before anything. Remus was however putting his emotions before himself as usual; he wanted to calm down his wife first.

Yes, Remus had been in denial and he wasn’t about to deny that at all. The news had come as a heavy shock, a part of him was joyful to be a father and the other half of him was plain terrified. He pulled his wife closer to him, before leaning in and placing a soft kiss to her forehead lightly. Remus remained silent, fearing he may have a reaction that would only make the matter worse. Remus could feel his emotions getting to him, so he slowly backed away and stood again. He simply stood and looked over his wife, still lost with what to say to her. The older man instead moved to turn his back on her, he faced the fire that was crackling in front of him and became lost in his thoughts. They couldn’t go through this again, not after all they had been through. Once again, Remus closed his eyes and reached up to pinch his nose gently and knew he was on the verge of tears. Swallowing back the urge to cry, Remus slowly opened his eyes again and instead stared in to the fire as if fascinated by it. Finally, after a few awkward moments Remus spoke. “I’m shocked Dora. I am not acting like it’s the end of the world. I’m taking this in just as much as you!” Remus finally turned and looked to his wife, not realising that his anger had risen a little and his voice had rose when he had spoke. “Arguing about this will not make things any better for the both of us.” Remus added simply his tone firm and to the point as he tried to fight back more tears that were threatening to spill from his eyes. “I had a feeling that you were pregnant, however I chose not to ask. H-How far along are you?” Remus asked keeping his tone the same, except this time a small amount of fright could be heard in it. Remus loved the woman before him; so much he could hardly express it in words. Right now, he hated himself and how he dealt with his own emotions.

“This is my fault, I should have been more careful! I don’t want you to suffer due to my damn mistake!” Remus said as he finally cracked and his voice rose, a single tear falling down his cheek as he finally felt his emotional barrier break. “ What if the baby inherits my condition, I could never live with myself for having a child suffer what I have to suffer every month.” Remus added as he let his fear show, his voice cracking as he spoke. No, he would not let this side of his surface again; he would instead bury it under like always. Remus was visibly shaking all over, his hands now in fists down beside him. Head shaking, Remus grabbed his jacket and quickly left the room, slamming the door uncharacteristically behind him as he did so. Remus knew he was walking away from his issues, however he had never known a different way. The whole thing felt the past was repeating itself, like someone, somewhere was giving him a swift kick up the butt. “ A father? Me? This can’t be.” Remus continued walking, tears now running down his face as he picked up his pace and moved as far away from his office as possible. The last thing he wanted was for their happiness to be broken, he was so proud but at the same time so frightened. Finally, Remus came to a stop and moved to lean against a near by stonewall and leant against it. He placed his back flat against the wall, then titled his head back and closed his eyes again.
