OVERALL PERSONALITY: Addison is a relatively quiet girl, even around those that know her well. She keeps her emotions muted and in check the majority of the time, rarely showing extreme anger, sadness, or joy (although she does display more moderate degrees of all of these). Like her father, she is stubborn. She wants what she wants, and she will do absolutely anything and everything she can to get it. Addison likes order and being in control of situations -- one of the things she hates most is when something goes differently than she wants it to and she is powerless to change it. All that being said, she is very loving and loyal to those she cares about. Addison loves spending time with family and friends, and doing things to make them smile.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: Addison is relatively modest about her looks. She doesn't consider herself to be bombshell material, but she does like herself, and as such takes care of herself. Addison got her small frame from her mother, and her running habit keeps it slim and trim. She prefers her hair to be long, and keeps it at mid-back length. It is dark and is naturally loosely curled. She counts herself among the lucky that are blessed with a good complexion, especially because her skin is relatively pale. Addison's hazel eyes are relatively large, framed by long lashes .

OVERALL HISTORY: Addison Artemis Carter is the only child of Aglaia and Nathanial Carter. Born June 20, 1973 in Cardiff, she became, as her mother described it, the light in the lives of her parents. Though they were never wealthy by any means, they lived a very comfortable lifestyle. As an only child, her parents doted on her throughout her childhood, spoling her where ever they could. Her childhood pets made her into an animal lover, and one of her favourite ways to spend an afternoon was chasing and playing with one of her dogs or cats.

At the age of 11, like all of her friends, Addison began to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was sorted into Slytherin, and greatly enjoyed the her studies. Addison was generally well behaved in school, although she did become notorious for a few of the lies she told her Professors. She tried her best to keep her grades as high as she could, finding the most joy in Charms, the least in Potions. Nonetheless, she put in as much effort as she could, determined to receive the grades she deserved.

Upon graduation, Addison took a job with the Ministry of Magic in the Obliviation department. After three years of apprenticeship, she was promoted to an Obliviator position, where she remains today. She hopes to continue upwards to lead the department one day.

At 19, Addison followed her parents' long-standing wish for her to set her allegiance to the Death Eaters, just as they had years before. Although she has not yet taken the mark, she performs what is requested of her. Addison's main reason for joining was because it was simply family tradition to. The alternative was abandonment by her parents, which Addison feels that she could not bear. She doesn't hold many of the ideals that the Death Eaters represent, but after all, she's always been an excellent liar. Addison is well-aware of the fact that even if she doesn't ever take the mark, she will be bound to them in one way or another. There is no way out.

When Addison was 21, she met a young man that she fell deeply in love with. He was Muggle-born, though a wizard. Addison hid this fact from her parents, because she was well aware that they would not approve. His presence in her life marked the first time that she ever thought about her future with someone, and at 22 she discovered that she was pregnant. Overjoyed, they spent the next months making changes in their lives to accomodate their child. For the first time, Addison was looking at the world in a different kind of light. When she was four months pregnant, her parents discovered that her now-fiance was not who they had portrayed to be. Addison discovered his body in their apartment several days later. The shock and dispair sent her into a deep depression and caused her to miscarry. Although her parents deny any involvement, Addison has lost much trust in them.

As of today, Addison is careful, reserved and calculated, though always on the look out for a reason to turn the lights back on in her life. Her main focus is on her work, and she still performs duties for Death Eaters when she is asked to. She holds a severe bitterness for them now, but she knows that there is no escape from their reach.
