tearing love apart,

Thanks to Mete for this
Most roleplaying sites have a 'Character Journals' section, but we at H&H have a much more entertaining and interactive way of doing things. There are people who put so much effort into their diaries and get nothing to show for it - no recognition being bad enough, but a lot of the time, people don't read them either. The Gossip Column seeks to change that for you, and here's how.
I. Create A Journal.
Character Name | Age | Occupation/House as the title
ex: Severus Snape | 36 | Professor
II. Post As Usual.
Whatever your character usually considers diary worthy, write it up as you normally would. But wait, is there something in this entry you think could form a plot for your character? Cause trouble for a character's enemy or just someone in general? Or even something that would just be darn funny as a Daily Prophet article? Well then.
III. Highlight It!
Using a noticeable color code (Preferably red) highlight the section you consider to be pertinent.
IV. Codeword
By posting No Liability at the end of your post, you grant the Prophet Organization permission to possibly print your characters words in the paper. It may happen in the next edition, or some months later, or not at all. Regardless, as long as No Liability is at the bottom of that highlighted post, the Prophet Organization has full rights to use it!
V. Enjoy the Spoils
Sometimes the Prophet Organization will pay you for your entry (through house point reward). Sometimes, the entry pays for itself through the formation of plot due to whatever scandal or madness it unearths. Either way, your character just made it into the Daily Prophet - rejoice!
OTHER. in role play.
You may also use this procedure in roleplay, which allows for the prophet team to spy on your characters and write an article highlighting the sections you have allowed for them to hear. Beware though, the article maynot always be what you expected!
