OVERALL PERSONALITY:Alucio is in some ways your typical Ravenclaw whilst in other ways he isn’t. He is a knowledgeable, intelligent, shy, sort of man who likes to keep the company of intelligent people. Sure, like everyone he has his bad points, like correcting people when not asked, a long fuse but snappy temper and hates to be put on the spot. But overall he is just a calm, relaxed, good-humoured man who likes to look out for his friends. Apart from having a deep hatred against vampires, he doesn’t really have an issue with anyone.
This can include blood, age, race etc just as long as they can hold some sort of intelligent conversation. Alucio is always on the search for knowledge and loves to learn new things. He especially loves learning about Magizoology and everything associated with it. Puzzles are a favourite pastime of his along with werewolves. Werewolves have always been something that has caught his attention and he is fascinated by how they work and live as the creatures they are. A hater of tea and lover of Firewhiskey, Alucio likes the occasional drink but just don’t get him drunk or he will unleash his darker side.
The only two things Alucio really hates about himself is his fear of heights and his inability to be a good duellist. Duelling has never been his strong point, but instead he takes up playing and experimenting with spells instead for fun. Oh and the fact that he has a certain soft spot for a Slytherin that has been his friend for many years now. That he keeps a secret from currently.

OVERALL HISTORY: Alucio Marius Doukas was born to Azalea and Demetrius Doukas on the 5th November 1961. He was born in to a middle-class family, who live in a small village on the outskirts of Cornwall. His father worked as an Auror at the Ministry of Magic; whilst his mother worked in the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau. Alucio grew up as an only child in the house, his parents taking different shifts as they took care of their son. When Alucio turned eight years old, he sensed that something different had come to the Doukas household. His parents had always been amazed by how their son had picked up, various skills at a young age. Alucio started to notice these changes when one day, he was dropped off at a good friend of the families instead of his usual mother or father taking care of him. Alucio being so young did not understand why he had been left with the family friend.
Dorian wasn’t such a bad man and Alucio grew quite attached to the man. Alucio and his father had always been close before Dorian came in to Alucio’s life. However, when Alec Doukas came in to the world things started changing for Alucio. The tragic news of the death of his mother struck a soft spot inside of Alucio. Alec had been a difficult pregnancy for Azalea and in the end had become too much for her, ending her life during the childbirth process. This left just Alucio, Demetrius and Alec on their own in the world. Unfortunately, the blow of his wife’s death was all too much for Demetrius who in the end lost his mind. Slowly he found that the mourning of his wife was ever building, leading him to a depressed state of mind. Unable to take control of his emotional state of mind, Demetrius decided to hand over his children to Dorian. Dorian who had been a close family friend took both boys in as his own children, worrying about their father’s state of mind.
Alucio couldn’t understand what was going on around him, all he knew was that he was staying with a close family friend. Months past and he began to question Dorian on why his father hadn’t returned. Dorian simply replied that his father was unwell and was in the hospital. Alucio slowly came to realise that his father wasn’t returning home, another blow that hit him like a ton of bricks. However, he knew he had other things to deal with and so helped take care of his younger brother Alec. The years past and around the age of 11, his father was admitted to St Mungos hospital due to his state of mind had finally gotten to him. Even to this day, Alucio remembers asking Dorian if they could visit and the man finally agreed to let Alucio see his father. The image of his father still haunts Alucio to this day, due to upon seeing him the man could barely recognise who he was. That day was the day he found out what had really happened to his father, the news sent a hard cold shock to Alucio.
Demetrius had been found to cast a memory charm on himself, as he wanted to rid away the memories of his dead wife. The process had also naturally caused him to forget the people around him and who his sons were. That night Alucio returned home silently, Dorian looking at him with concern. A feeling of anger came over him as he looked up to Dorian, who looked back at Alucio with a look of sorrow. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Alucio snapped to Dorian as he stood there with his hands curled up in to fists beside him, tears now running down his face. Dorian stood staring at the young Alucio lost for words, before moving forward as he tried to offer him some comfort. That was when a new sensation took over Alucio, a strong sensation that he had never felt before. Tears now running freely down his face, Alucio held his hands out to resist and watched as Dorian was repelled back.
Dorian cried out in surprise as he was pushed back, the end result was he slammed in to the wall behind him. Alucio looked up to his father figure in shock, who stared back at him with the same shocked expression. What Alucio didn’t realise was in fact he had just shown his first sign of magic. Sure, he had grown up around magic and known of it but didn’t realise at that moment in time that he had unlocked it in himself. A few days passed and Dorian told Alucio that he had finally shown his first signs of magic. Alucio had been shocked by the news but understood, due to his mother had told him when he was smaller about it happening one day. Alec and Alucio had been slowly gaining a stronger bond as they grew older, one that had been only getting stronger as the days passed.
The summer passed and soon enough Alucio was off to Hogwarts for his first year. He swallowed his tragedies and pushed them away, leaving them to bottle deep in his emotions. The day he got on to the Hogwarts Express for the first time was when he decided that it was time to start over again and forget about the past for now. Upon entering Hogwarts he was sorted proudly into Ravenclaw just like his father. Alucio had trouble making friends in his first year of Hogwarts, due to his more quiet and bookish nature. And so instead took this as a moment to simply study and work hard. The lack of friendship didn’t really bother Alucio, instead he saw it more as a chance to help get used to school life.
Care of Magical Creatures was soon a subject that Alucio learnt fast was something he enjoyed. He soon enough found himself being buried in books about Magical Creatures and how they worked, as he seek more knowledge on them. This along with a strong interest in Herbology, Alucio became fascinated with wanting to learn more and more knowledge.
However, when the second year of Hogwarts came about this was when Alucio soon discovered someone who would be a good friend for the rest of his life. The day started like any other typical day for Alucio, first class of the morning was Herbology and so he went to the Greenhouses as always. Stepping inside and taking a seat, he listened as they were all assigned a task and partners. Alucio attempted to ignore the usual teasing that surrounded him as he stood and made his way over towards the man who would be his partner. Ignoring a few crude remarks he sat down beside Lucas with a small smile and held out a hand before introducing himself. That was the day that Alucio met Lucas and how the two became friends. There was just something about the man that made Alucio safe and comfortable.
Alucio had gotten used to the teasing that came from a certain Black and Potter. He soon gained a bitter attitude towards them and their behaviour as he chose to ignore them. His Hogwarts years passed and he kept close to Lucas, who had taken him under his wing. Who would have thought it? A Ravenclaw being good friends with a Slytherin? Around the sixth year of Hogwarts was when Alucio began to notice something different about Lucas. No matter how much the Ravenclaw shook it off he soon realised that his friendship had gone a little deeper with the man. Around this time, Alucio came to realise another thing about himself in the process that being that he found himself strongly attracted to men. Keeping the information to himself, Alucio carried on his studies as usual and passed his OWLs and NEWTs with good scores.
Hoping to become a Magizoologist much like his idol, Alucio became particularly interested in that line of work. Upon leaving Hogwarts Alucio set off towards the Ministry of Magic and to the department his mother had once worked in. His first attempt was unfortunately unsuccessful but Alucio tried and tried again. After the third time, he walked away and decided to get another job in the meantime. In the end, he ended up getting a job in Flourish and Blotts, where once he had enough money he rented a flat above the shop. His brother Alec visited with Dorian often, which only made the relationship between him and his brother grow more. Alucio grew very strong and protective over his younger brother, who seemed to be growing up fast. The two seemed to have a good friendship and began to share the same interests.
A piece of news came to Alucio’s ears in mid February that year, news that made him drop a book in the middle of restocking. This was a year later after his friend had been thrown in to Azkaban, so the news had been quite unexpected for Alucio. Upon being called to Azkaban Alucio went to visit his friend only to see his state and recognised almost instantly the symptoms that Lucas was showing. Outraged he demanded the woman be sent to St. Mungos only for it to be refused. Taking the matters in to his own hands, Alucio decided to trick the person he had a suspicion of attempting to poison his friend. Whilst the warden had stepped away to see the distraction that had occurred at the end of the corridor, he slipped some Veritiserum in to her water. That was how in the end he found out the cure for his friend and so left to find a cure for Lucas.
Alucio knew it was not possible for a return to Azkaban and so sent the cure instead. He attached a small note to the bottle in his own handwriting knowing that Lucas would know it was him. Sure, it was a risk but how Alucio saw it was simple. If it helped out his friend in time of need then so be it.
A few months later, something else would happen in Alucio’s life that would change his view on a particular species. One day he had a knock at the door of his flat, one he had been expecting which of course was his brother and the man he saw as his father visiting. Upon opening the door and seeing his brother crying and Dorian looking angry he had to question it. When he heard they had both being attacked by a vampire on the way, the words made Alucio’s blood boil. Pulling his brother in to a comforting hug, Alucio tried to calm the young boy down and tell him that everything was going to be okay. That was the day that made his attitude towards vampires change in to a rather negative view.
Alucio’s mind was never far away from Lucas; the man was always on his mind. He however kept himself distracted over the years, trying over and over again to try and get his dream job. Each time was a let down and in the end, as much as it bothered Alucio he gave up. Making his way back up in to his flat after a bad day, he opened a letter and stared at it in shock. Once again Lucas had needed his help, which naturally Alucio took as usual and went to the aid of his friend. Once again he stepped inside of Azkaban, the familiar cold atmosphere sweeping over him as he went to visit. When he glanced in to the cell that Lucas lay in, his heart sunk as he saw the man. The sight annoyed Alucio who turned away and thought over what to do. There had to be something he could do? After briefly speaking with the man, he walked away more worried than ever.
Good news reached his ears a few weeks later though; as yet another letter was delivered to him. When he read that Lucas had survived it was like a black cloud had been lifted and he couldn’t be happier that his friend was alive. The thought of Lucas being like he was had been bothering Alucio to the point where it had been effecting his work. Reading over the letter made him fill with joy, the joy of knowing that he had helped a friend through a bad time. Alucio continued to exchange letters with his friend until he was released from Azkaban four years later.
