Today had been a good day. Great even. Alucio couldn’t have been more overjoyed with the news he had received today. Finally his dream had come true, after years of hard work. Why? Because now he could proudly say that he is a Magizoologist. A dream that may have taken a long time to achieve, but Alucio wouldn’t have had it any other way. A grin was plastered on his face, his spirits high and his mood matching. Nothing could put him down now; his week had been going fantastically. Sure, he had enjoyed his old job but now he finally got to go in to something that he was passionate about. Magizoology. Sure, being around Magical Creatures wasn’t everyones cup of tea but Alucio wouldn’t have it any other way. Technically his job didn’t start until tomorrow, but he was still happy to have got the job anyway.
The first person, who came to mind when it came to spreading the news, was of course his old friend Lucas. Who he just so happened to meeting up with this evening, so the timing was good. Alucio had just returned from a little shopping, that meaning he had just walked out of somewhere with more books. The books were stacked under his arm, a small vial tucked away in his trouser pocket. Dragons Blood to be exact. Why did he buy it? Well that was Alucio’s own little secret. Now where were they meeting again? Oh yeah, the pub. A small smirk of amusement came over Alucio’s lips as he remembered that small detail. That sounded like a certain someone. Having made his way in to Diagon Alley a few minutes later, he moved in to the street and glanced around him.
Soon enough, he disappeared with a small pop before reappearing at his destination moments later. Alucio’s eyes widened as he looked around Hogsmeade, he hadn’t realised the place looked this bad. Yes, he had of course been keeping track in The Daily Prophet but hadn’t been expecting it to look this bad. A little sadness came over the Ravenclaw as he made his way up the path, well what he thought was the path and towards the pub. Each building looked like something out of a Muggle War film, it made Alucio’s stomach sink. What a horrible sight indeed. Pushing the thoughts away from his mind, he picked up his pace and soon enough arrived at The Three Broomsticks. Enough of the gloomy attitude, there was much to be celebrated tonight.
Pushing the door open, his nostrils were instantly met with the smell of beer. Alucio stepped inside of the pub, before pushing through the crowds and down towards the bar. The pub was surprisingly packed and very busy, people were shouting and talking loudly creating a rather cheerful atmosphere. Just what this place needed, well if you asked Alucio anyway. His eyes flicked to a young wizard briefly, as the man eyed his books suspiciously but he ignored it. What was wrong with walking around with a set of books?
The same grin from earlier still plastered on his face, Alucio went on the search for his best friend. He couldn’t wait to share the good news with him it was like he was going to burst any minute. Soon enough he spotted a familiar face in the back of the pubs and so made his way over towards it. The Ravenclaw had a spring in his step as he walked over, never had he felt in such a good mood.
