- Power and Influence. William always needs to feel important, and to be putting things into motion, giving out orders, though he never wants to be the true boss or ring leader. He's content with being second banana, as long as he can leave his mark on a grand scheme.
- Music. His Irish roots make highland music and dance run in his veins, and opened the door to embracing many other genres.
- The Drink. Another, less flattering aspect of his Irish roots. Don't leave a full bottle of fire whiskey or Mead near him unattended.
- Thestrals. Taming and riding wild Thestrals is a point of pride for this Irish boy from the highlands. The fact that not many people can see them, and fewer still dare approach them, makes riding them freely at breakneck speed the ultimate thrill.
- Charms and DADA. Good at spellwork, William loved the classes where he could learn and practice them most.
- A controlled dose of Chaos and disorder. Things blowing up, burning down, defiance. Shocking people out of their comfort zone is sometimes necessary.
DISLIKES:
- Books. William always found books dull and static. A clever boy, but with not much visual imagination to paint a mental picture with just words. He needed photos, music, or to be in the moment to connect with anything being described. History of Magic was always his worst subject
- Potions. Recipes, instructions and measurements are not his strong suit (he was never allowed in the kitchen, either), and there's more cauldrons without bottoms in the rubbish heap accredited to Billy than he cares to mention.
- The sea. Too many near deaths and a few lost friends. Also, screw sea serpents.
- Muggles and the rich elite. Elaborated in his back story, Billy always had contempt for the muggles that, he felt, took too much for granted, consumed and destroyed more than they produced, and fear and persecute the "different" and "unusual." For the elite, it's their reluctance to use their money and influence for the greater good.
- France. He loved his time Beauxbatons, but disliked the French culture and environment. A little too stuffy and high browed for his liking.
STRENGNTHS:
- Spell casting/duelling skills. Billy was infamous for quick spell work and using darker, more sinister hexes and spells as the rules allowed, making the attacks have psychological value as well.
- Charisma and influence. Power and influence was easily achieved by his charismatic flair and ablilty to do so.
- Vocals. His love for music also stemmed from being able to create it himself, through his favourite instrument; voice.
WEAKNESS:
- Temper. Though good at getting his way, he doesn't always, and blows up, then seethes and dwells on it for ages
- Unforgiving. Paired with a quick temper and sense of disappointment when things go off track, he has a hard time letting go and forgiving events, others, and sometimes, himself.
- Occlumency. Letting his emotions rule him, especially anger, and inability to let go quickly, makes focusing and closing his mind extremely difficult. For this reason, he often avoids eye contact with unfamiliar people, to avoid being read like an open book.
GOALS:
- Billy's other dream is to join the Weird Sisters, having been a fan for years. What better way to combine his two great loves, music and influence, than joining the most famous and influential music group in Europe?
- Mastering Occlumency, therefore his emotions, is an ultimate priority. That accomplished, he would truly be the perfect instrument of change.

OVERALL PERSONALITY: Pretty much covered in likes, dislikes etc above, but to summarize, William is a wild, free spirit that loves to be in the midst of great things, and pushing change. His pride in how he good he is at it makes him take it that much harder when things don't work out, flaring up and being sullen in an instant. He is never loud or instantly noticeable, however. A brooding, subtle aura is what he falls into easily. He lives for challenges and dares, and never misses an opportunity to cause a little disorder if things get a little too rigid and comfortable.He only respects authority when it is deserved, and doesn't hesitate to challenge it when it is not. The friends and girlfriends that are immune to his manipulation and put up with his firecracker temper, he is completely loyal to, however, holds them dear, and it gnaws at his insides if relationships end on bad terms, though pride wouldn't allow him to apologize first. He is happiest and most at peace when immersed in music, or sneaking out to ride thestrals in the wild and would remain in that state forever if he could.

Her family was very wealthy, and would vacation very near Kieran's prowling grounds. They met just as Kieran began to show signs of wizardry and was to be sent off to Hogwarts that September. Every summer after, the two would meet up, and Kieran would dazzle young Ellie with his stories of the wizarding school, and secretly bring back the most bizarre and wondrous gifts for his best friend. Their relationship aged and grew as they did, and became love before long. Their perfect summers soon came to an end when Ellie's parents discovered the true nature of their daughter's Irish interest, and brought the summer trips to an end immediately. Terrified of "those unnatural people" they tried to instill the same terror and aversion in their daughter, though they never saw the nightly visits of an owl bearing a single letter to her window, and leaving with another. This carried on until Kieran graduated from Hogwarts, and was able to move to England to be near his love, getting a "normal" job, and start building an image of the perfect muggle man to impress his future in laws. Their secret nights together, however, eventually brought William into the world, and earned the rage and threat of disinheritance from Ellie's parents. After a bitter struggle, Ellie caved to her parents wishes, and turned her back on her lover and son. Kieran returned to Donegal with full arms and an empty heart to start a life with his son, a constant reminder of his loss and shame.
Despite this, William had as a happy a childhood as could be hoped for, only vaguely aware of what pain it caused his father to look at him, when Kieran dived too deeply into the fire whiskey bottle.

Billy's early teenage years were awkward as he tried to adapt to the tragedy of losing a friend, becoming a wizard, and being worlds away from his home in a foreign country. He didn't adapt quickly, but managed to gain a few friends who eased the transition, despite his sullen mood. This is when he got the nickname "Augurey," partly for it being called the "Irish Phoenix" at times, but more for the fact that Billy did look skinny and melancholy like the bird, and began to show a liking for singing, though only somber melodies. Another reference was his tendency to crush on petite, energetic, "fairy like" girls in his year; fairies being a favourite prey item of the bird, as well. He would never utter a word to them, however, and would become a nervous mess if confronted with the opportunity to do so (mostly thanks to friends eager to see him become that nervous mess).
Billy slowly gained confidence as he adapted to a new life, and began to excel in Charms and DADA, and got involved with a student band. These comfort zones helped him break out and begin developing charisma and a knack for getting his own way, even if subtly so. His new found boldness and desire for "more," brought him to clash with structure and indisputable authority, which he challenged when he saw it undeserved, and began causing mishaps were he could without being caught, delighting in seeing everyone, especially faculty, lose their heads when they were not perfectly in control. Here, too, he noticed for the first time, the prejudice and piousness of the elite and privileged, and recoiled at it immediately.
Around this time, the story of his mother came out at last, on a summer evening at home with his less than sober father. Unable to believe his mother would not want to be a part of the family now that she was her own woman, and her son was grown resulted in many failed and attempts to contact her, and one particularly painful encounter, with the door being shut in his face. From there, his interest swung to Muggle Studies for a time, hoping to see reason in his mother's fear and betrayal. The result was a growing contempt for muggles; the way they took too much for granted, and consumed and destroyed more than they produced; shocked at how vicious they can be to their own kind, let alone to others who are "different," and then resentment of the fact that the wizarding world hid itself, and did so much to make muggles content and oblivious. This caused true conflict for the first time with his beloved Pa, who still loved Ellie, and refused to condemn her for her betrayal. For the first time, William viewed his father as weak and foolish, pandering to privileged prejudice, fearful, muggles, the perfect mix of people he now despised.
Nevertheless, Billy continued to excel at Beauxbatons, never quite being caught for the chaos he caused, or fully exasperating the faculty to warrant expulsion, though they were glad to see the back of him at the end of 7 years. By this time, he had already heard enough about the Death Eaters movement in England, and seeing what they could accomplish, to know that was where he should be. He had already, in true death eater fashion, suppressed any mention of his muggle heritage, though never declaring pure blood unless the situation called for it.
He made for London at 18, and, by 19, had tracked down DE contacts, and managed to charm his way into the inductees rank of the group. His love of chaos and his charisma were part of his appeal, making him valuable for more subtle methods of terrorism and advancing the principles.
Billy's true motives are, of course, to be where the power is, to shake the foundations of order and stagnant, old fashioned rules, and to break the barrier between muggles and wizards, and teach muggles their place. Now poised to do what he sees as great things, Billy still has fears of his new position. His dilemma is not truly being pure blood, not entirely supportive of blood purity or totalitarian rule, and his aversion to killing others. So far, he has managed to evade situations that would call his true nature and beliefs into question, and ignores the more extremist views of his new "family," while trying to juggle a normal life as well. He now pursues a place in the Weird Sisters, with his eye on the lead singer position.
