FRIENDS

Dolores keeps to herself. She does not have anyone whom one could call a friend, though she has considerable affiliations and connections throughout the Ministry. Colleagues and the like would fall to this category by default, as Dolores believes in a civil manner when attending to business and does not permit herself to attend to such things as office gossip. Though she is a highly prejudiced woman, Dolores will never show such prejudices openly to the person in question, but rather subversively by carefully assuring that their position is revoked without seeming to have been involved at all.

ENEMIES

Though she is careful not to be too vocal on such matters, Dolores is a ferociously prejudiced woman. She has absolutely no love for 'half-breeds' of any variety. Werewolves and Vampires have had a considerable amount of their rights revoked and endangered by legislature put in place by Madam Umbridge, and the support she has received from the Wizengamot on these matters further shows Dolores that she is right in believing these creatures to be foul and inhuman. Dolores is also intolerant toward any who question the Ministry or the law, are firmly within Dolores' list of enemies.

LOVERS

Dolores has not had a lover in a very long time. There is - or was - a gentleman who won her heart long ago, but that amounted to very little when he chose to travel and she chose her career track. She still holds a candle for him - not that she'd ever admit it - and tends to stay clear of romance now simply because it has burned her one to many times.

Théo & Umbridige I'm not entirely sure why, but Théodore has the undying urge to kiss Umbridge's ass until he sees sunshine. He's not going to be genuine, of course, but Théo tends to be quite adept at getting on people's good sides. We've talked briefly about him leaving flowers for her and being quite charming around her, and I stand by the idea that that is exactly how he acts. Dolores is powerful, and if there's one thing Théo understands and knows how to respect, it's power. He wants a higher ranking position in the Ministry, and she's exactly the channel he needs to go through to get it. Narcissa & Umbridge I think it's fair enough to say that these two likely don't approve of one another, though they don't strike me as the type to be catty. In fact, I think they'd be the exact opposite. Real, sophisticated girlfights that require wit, cunning, and a bit of bold caution. Could be interesting at least, and we'd get a bit of a laugh out of seeing them all stiff and pseudo-polite to one another. Idk. Random muse babble. Daphne & Umbridge We ALL know how Daphne feels about Madam Umbridge, and I do believe that she would have given the woman a bit of grief during her time at Hogwarts, whether she favored slytherin or not. I bet Daphne ended up on the wrong end of her blood quill, too. Daphne certainly has a good bit of animosity towards Umbridge, that's for sure, but what we could do with it, I'm not sure.

Dolores & Théodore

Oh she will see right through him, you can count on that my dear. Dolores is no fool to how the Ministry ladder is climbed. A pretty young man like that is certainly not after anything more than a good recommendation. Of course, she will hardly disparage him of his affections and will be more than happy to appear completely besotted with him as it will cause little harm to do so.

Dolores & Narcissa

Sophisticated cat-fights are truly the best. Honestly though, I believe that Dolores would have had a fondness for Narcissa prior to Lucius' disgrace. Narcissa is, after all, a Black. More than that she is a woman who despite being married to an affluent man chooses to utilize her mind and run a potioneering practice. For this, Dolores would have respected Narcissa as a woman and as a witch. In light of Lucius, Dolores will reflect the Ministry's view and be suspicious as is expected. However, Dolores will not count Lucius' disloyalty against Narcissa. Not personally, and internally, anyway. So I think it might be interesting to see these women interact.

Dolores & Daphne

Thank goodness neither one of them will be forced to meet for some time then! I doubt Dolores has anything good to say on little miss Daphne either.

Lucius & Dolores: Despite the fact that Lucius is an escaped criminal and will likely not be on Hogwarts' Board of Governors (and the seat on the Wizengamot) for long, he's willing to do anything to clear his name with society. I can see him approaching her and trying to either charm her into doing something for him or using his money to bribe influence her. Of course, it might get him into more trouble but he's going to start to get desperate >.>

Dolores & Lucius

Oh I daresay that while Dolores was once a fan of young Master Malfoy, should he approach her now she would immediately seek out his arrest - which would of course mean he would have to be very quick to win her over. She is still a practicing lawyer as well as Senior Undersecretary to the Minister - were he to win her favor, she could, potentially, clear his name. This could make for very interesting threading I think.

Harry & Dolores

Like, if Harry were able to punch her in the face... He'd do it. Consequences be damned. Because honestly, there simply was NOT enough resentment from him towards her. None at all. We seen a brief moment of resentment in the seventh movie, but nowhere near enough for what Dolores put Harry through. So it may be best if these two didn't run into each other... No scratch that. These two should run into each other again. Because Harry WILL react... and his reaction may give both Snape and Lucas gray hairs.

Rabastan & Dolores

So Rabbit here is a Death Eater, he laughs at the Ministry. And would probably find Dolores repulsive on many levels. But, if given half the chance, I could easily see him using her to his advantage. Sorry, brain farted here.

Brooke & Dolores

So Brooke here is a Hit Witch, and very proud of her job. Loves it in fact. The chaos and commotion of it. The complete opposite of Dolores' precious order. I can see Brooke twitching slightly every time Dolores does her little hem hem's that drives everyone up a wall. But where other Ministry workers would probably hold their tongues because of Umbridge's position, Brooke would let her mouth run wild (picture a younger McGonagall). And if anyone were to believe Umbridge saying she's related to the Selwyn's... that would - unfortunately - make them related.
