There isn't much going on right now - the Dark Lord has been quiet and frankly? You're bored. Hogsmeade's a drag. Been there, torched that - time to move on to prettier homes and bigger fires! The Dark Lord hasn't sanctioned this - the lot of you are doing this simply because, well.

You're bored.

Objective: In this thread, two applicable characters will need to capture, kill or injure three NPC Godric's Hollow! Feel free to godmode up to one each; note that Mini Event will post after a certain time to liven up the challenge!

Lucius truly did not like to wait around for orders, especially not when those orders might very well be his death sentence. Indeed, the only thing that Lucius wanted was to do something, anything to prove his loyalty to the Dark Lord and maybe get Him off Draco's back. There were two ways to do that: one, fail miserably again and cause the Dark Lord to be on his back. Or to do something that actually was useful and not get himself shamed or killed, especially the latter.

So it was with those things in mind that Lucius put on his Death Eater outfit, including his mask, and quickly apparated from his home to Godric's Hollow. A smirk played on Lucius' lips as he stood on a hill outside the small, sleepy village, though it would not be so for long. He had heard rumors that there were several other Death Eaters that planned on causing chaos tonight and hoped that he would be joined, though he was not planning on waiting for them. He did briefly think of how much Bellatrix and Rodolphus would likely enjoy this. But he would not think of them this night. He would worry about them later, since he was in charge of finding a safe place for them.

Yet his eyes as he strode down the hill towards the village flickered towards the building that was the Potter home and he thought briefly of torching it but decided not to, no matter how much he wanted to. No, instead he headed towards the church, particularly the vicarage, where a Muggle Vicar served the village. Perhaps he could scare the poor man into thinking he was a demon. His lips curled into a cruel smile as he reached the door, preparing to cast an Alohorama to unlock it. Oh, was this going to be fun.

“Brrr… Brrr… “

He rubbed his hands together to ease the increasing coldness. His breath floated up in like white fog. It was nearly the end of winter, yet it was still pretty cold today. He hated it when he had to stay out in the freezing air, in a quiet graveyard, waiting for a business partner who probably decided not to show up. He would rather be in a pub or anywhere near a cozy fire than doing this. Especially when he heard there may be an attack by the Death Eaters at Godric’s Hollow from Fenrir. However, it was not like him to turn down a good deal. It was just…Whatever he needed to do, he had to do it quick. But the god-knew-where client hadn’t shown up yet. So here he was, learning against a tree in the cemetery, cursing with all his knowledge on swear words.

“I swear to god… five more minutes and I’m outta here!” He checked his magical watch that could remind him when it was time for his appointment. And the last time it did so was an hour ago. Unbelievable, if all of his clients were like this, he would have been dead from starvation by now. Actually though, this might prove to be a good chance. He could make use of this problem by using it to demand a raise on price. That would be- What was that? Raphael looked up as he heard the sound of footsteps. It appeared to come from quite a distance, but it was a silent night so he could hear it on the snow. Besides, since he was infected with lycanthropy, some of his senses were increased. He slightly titled his head to the direction of the sound. It could be his business partner, though he was not so sure. It could be a wandering resident or a Death Eater. There was only one way to find out.

He left the tree and tried to move as quietly as possible, staying close to the church’s walls, toward the sound. Didn’t take him long to find who was causing the sound, he recognized the signature cloak and mask as he got closer to the person. Peeking out from behind a tall hedge a few yard away, he knew it was starting. He could either leave, or watch what was going to happen for amusement. He had no serious problem with muggles but he was not so fond of them either. To conceal his identity as a muggleborn in this world where discrimination was dominant, he had never shown them any remorse. After all, they were all strangers to him. Their deaths would not affect him in any way.

In the end, he decided to stay and watch. The vicarage seemed like it hold some cool stuffs inside. Once the chaos was created by the Death Eaters, he would have a good chance of sneaking inside to see if there was anything he could sell for some extra-income. He did not have high hopes, for muggle things were hardly valuable. Still, a penny is a penny, better than nothing. In his trend of thought, he did not realize there were thorns on the branches.

”Ouch!” One of his fingers was pierced by them, making him react out of instinct and jumped back. ”Oh crap” He thought and lowered himself to his old position, hoping he was not discovered. Despite the fact he was not new to wrecking terror, he still did not enjoy getting involved in this.

So, in this scenario, I’m going to hang out with Mr. Malfoy. It’s going to be great! 591 is a good number for a first in-character post isn’t it? Anyway, I hope I did not make any mistake in this. Honestly, my writer is not British so she might have made a mistake somewhere. Like, she has no idea what a vicarage looks like. It’s just like other houses isn’t it? Hmm…

Lucius had the spell on his tongue, wand held over the door when he heard it. He thought he heard someone say 'ouch' and his eyes scanned the area around him, his slight paranoia bubbling up. He stopped and listened for a few moments, turning back to the door when he heard nothing further. But he still kept an ear and half an eye on his surroundings. He could not afford for this to go wrong on him. Not only was this unsanctioned by the Dark Lord but if he messed this up too badly, it may be the last thing he ever did. His voiced whispered, "Alohorama," and he felt rather satisfied when the previously locked door opened, though he was careful to open it slowly in case it made any sounds upon opening. His lips curled in grim satisfaction when the door was silent, glad that he didn’t have to cast a silencing spell on the door. He entered the house but he glanced over his shoulder again, looking for…something, likely the noise that he heard. He could have sworn that he was being watched and that he had heard a voice. He left the door open, figuring that the town was asleep, for now, and the only ones that were likely to enter after him were his fellow Death Eaters. His eyes scanned the small but well-cared for house for signs of where the bedroom was. This brought up thoughts of the First Wizarding War when he would do this sort of thing frequently and with pleasure. But now…he still enjoyed this part but there was a desperation for him that made him also hate it. Of course, that hate simply made him angry and his eyes glittered with considerable cruelty. Oh, this Muggle would know the true meaning of pain. He easily found the man's bedroom and stood in the doorway and cast a Crucio Curse on the Vicar, grinning maniacally as the man woke up screaming in pain, followed by horror when he saw the masked man in black pointing a wand at him. Lucius did eventually let him go but the man's respite was brief. He heard the man praying and he darkly said, "Pray all you want, vicar, He won't hear you." He then used the Crucio Curse on him once again, impassively listening to the screams and sobs. He stopped again, smirking with evil satisfaction that the man was reduced to a quivering mess, begging Lucius to stop. Lucius stood and watched the man sob and beg for mercy and he chuckled darkly and point his wand at the vicar, causing the man to cringe, body unconsciously preparing for another attack. "Oh, you silly Muggle. The mercy that I would give is death. And frankly, that would be no fun nor do you deserve that." He chuckled again as the vicar's eyes widened as he realized what he meant. He let go the Crucio curse once again, letting the writhe in pain and agony.

He stayed lowly in his position behind the hedge for a while longer after he had heard the hooded man entering the house. He sort of recognized the voice but he could not risk revealing himself. One of the common things between people who did bad deeds was their precautions. Therefore, he doubted his mistake earlier was overlooked. Were him to show up too soon, that guy would definitely attack him as a possible threat. He was fearless, yet his life was more valuable than whatever he would find in that residence. He was wondering what that Death Eater was doing in there when he heard the screaming. Like it was a signal, he left the hiding spot to quietly enter the vicarage through the opened door. The scream meant the guy was busy torturing the poor vicar and probably would be too busy to notice his presence. On the other hand, it was just a matter of time before the noises reach the man's neighbours. He was not worry about the muggles though. What he did not want was a witch or wizard living nearby would contact the Ministry. It would be terrible when the Aurors arrived. Thus, it was now or never and he refused to waste any time.

The werewolf slipped himself through the entrance swiftly. Years of working as a thief made his movements quite flexible. Carefully trying to move further away from the source of the screaming, where he assumed was the bedroom upstairs, his keen eyes scanned the first rooms for anything valuable. Chairs, couches, vases ... He gave a disappointed sigh and moved on to another room. Locked.

“No problem, no problem…” He mumbled to himself, tapping his wand on the knob. The door gave in and he carefully pushed it open. The room appeared to be a study or reading room. There were a few book cases, a desk with a lamp and books on top. He wandered to the desk, eyes skimming over the papers and checking the drawers. Nothing seemed to be worth the visit.

”Or is it?”

He chuckled happily. He just spotted a metal safe in a dark spot. Now there was only one reason for someone to have a safe in their house. Heart jumping with excitement, he examined it. A coded lock was not an obstacle for him, not when he had magic to back him up in his profession. Within seconds, all the secrets inside the closed metal container opened. A large box full of muggle money, indicated ‘charity’. ”What a nice guy. Even wrote my name on it.” He chuckled, taking the cash out for a quick count. However, he was only half way through when more screams from upstairs made him look up at the ceiling instinctively. He probably wasted more time than he should. “Alright, come to papa.” He rolled the bills and stuffed them into his jacket’s inner pocket and departed… Or he attempted to.

Just as he arrived at the front door, which was already half opened earlier, banged open. It slammed right into his face and sent him falling backward hard. A woman had just come running into the house with late groceries dropped on the path to the house behind her. She was no doubt another resident of the vicar’s home for she was looking extremely terrified, confused and was yelling a name –which he supposed was the priest’s.

“Ow…Ow…” Raphael moaned, one hand holding his face.

The woman was a little stunned by his presence in the hallway. Though, she quickly returned to her panicking self. “AAAAAAAH!” She screamed at the top of her lungs. “WHO ARE YOU? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO-”

“Not now… Darn it!” He mumbled while getting up. “Let’s not make this more complicated, ma’am. I have no intention in-” He held up his hand in civilization. His plan was to take the valuable and get away quietly. He did not want the Death Eater upstairs to come down and make the situation any worse. Even though he was working for them, he would rather stay out of unnecessary trouble.

“GET AWAY FROM ME! SOMEBODY! HELP!” She exclaimed louder, like most people would when people tell them to stop freaking out.

”Be quiet!” He snarled to no avail. She was continuing screaming for help and certainly too freaked out to even think of running. The werewolf was getting more frustrated. He pointed the wand at her direction. If she was not going to shut up, he would have to arrange it himself. “Stupefy!” He casted the first spell that came to his mind. Not a good choice but he just wanted to zip her mouth shut. The woman was hit easily and flew backward from the doorstep toward the street behind her, approximately ten feet. She hit the ground so hard he wrinkled his face imagining how hurtful it was then rolled a few more times before stopping for good, looking lifeless.

Once again, tagging mister Malfoy. Vivi hopes it's a good enough post and that she didn't make any serious mistake. This post is 830 words long! Trust me, I counted it a dozen of time. Also, she's sorry for the long time it took her to post. She's so distracted by The X-Files right now.

There was something going on downstairs and Lucius frowned, though he couldn’t be seen through his mask, and his eyes flickered to the door of the room. The Vicar had decided to try and move and Lucius growled, pointing his wand at the man and hissing, "Petrificus Totalus," watching in grim pleasure when he stopped all movement, allowing Lucius to start towards the door, growling that he would be back to deal with the man later, casting a silencing spell on him as well. He heard the door slam open and a woman's voice screech about what someone was doing here before there was silence and Lucius gave a frustrated growl, storming towards the vicar, removing the binding and silencing spells from him. "It seems I will be giving you that final release that you've begging me to give you." His eyes glinted cruelly through the eye slits, pleased that the Vicar seemed terrified. But before he got to the Killing Curse, he spat out, "Crucio" His eyes glittered with dark pleasure and he chuckled darkly. There was something invigorating about using the Dark Arts that was part of the reason he joined the Dark Lord. Lucius could still see his first mission, his arm throbbing from being recently marked. He had tortured and killed several that day. He had returned home to Narcissa, triumphant and high on the adrenaline from both the pain of the Dark Mark and the thrill of the hunt and the power that coursed through him from the Dark Arts. And it seemed his hand at terror would continue as he pointed his wand at the Vicar, snarling the words to the Killing Curse"AVADA KEDAVRA!" and watched with a sense of sick satisfaction at the results. A flash of green light erupted for Luicus' wand, hitting the Vicar square in the chest. He didn’t need to but he nudged the Muggle to see if he was truly dead before he stalked out of the room, heading downstairs where the commotion had been happening. He was going to deal with whoever had cut short his fun and had been stalking him into the house. He was able to see a man that he knew, a werewolf thief that he sometimes asked to procure things for him, whom he assumed was what he heard before he tried to enter the Vicarage, and a young woman, the reason for his interruption, being thrown away by a Stupefy spell cast by Bolton. "Well, well, well. I see that you decided to join us in our bit of fun, Bolton." He gave a smirk that was hidden by his mask. His eyes flitted to the woman on the ground. "Why don't you have a bit of fun with her? Cast a Cruciatus curse? Or perhaps the Killing Curse?" He stood close enough that he could speak in Raphael's ear and hissed, "Prove your loyalty to the Dark Lord and you will be rewarded." He pulled away and started to circle Bolton. "Of course, if you don’t actually want to, then either I can force you to do so or tell the Dark Lord that you had the opportunity to prove your loyalty to the Cause and chose not to!" He laughed darkly at the wrinkled face and he spoke with mock-concern. "Oh, don't feel bad, Bolton. In the end she shouldn’t feel anything."

Just as he expected, mister Death Eater eventually came downstairs. Still in the pose of pointing his wand at the woman on the ground, he turned his head to look at the other man. Now that he could hear his voice clearer, Raphael sort of recognized the voice. Without a doubt, he had heard it somewhere. It took him a dozen of seconds to finally have an idea who he might be. If he recalled it right, it was Lucius Malfoy he came across today, which could be a good thing because they at least knew each other. A random Death Eater who had never met him before would not tolerate his presence there. The werewolf did not enjoy Malfoy’s company either, just like how he never liked hanging out with certain affluent individuals. Most wealthy people, especially those who addressed themselves as pureblooded, were cocky. As a matter of fact, they usually irritate him with all their talking. He only ignored those feeling to save his business.

The man moved close to him and started urging him to ‘have fun’ with the temporally unconscious woman. Now, how could he have fun while having words hissed into his ears like that? Seriously, he crept him out big time. The werewolf could feel the chill in Malfoy’s dangerous tone. He knew he had no other choice but to do as the other wizard suggested. The last thing he wanted was to be on these people’s bad side. It would equal to instant painful death. No, there were many things he had yet to accomplish. He refused to die. In the end, it came down to him dying or that woman and it was obvious who was going to survive tonight. Her death would mean nothing to him, so why not?

As Mr. Malfoy mocked him, he returned with a chuckle. “Why mister Malfoy, I don’t know where you got your assumption from, but I have no reason to pity her.” He did a spinning trick with his wand in between his fingers as he replied to him. Then, so as to prove his words, he swiftly pointed the wand at the fainted woman and shouted the incantation. “Crucio!” He was not too good with offensive spells, but it was enough to do the job. The pain was so great it brought the victim back her consciousness. She struggled on the ground, screaming in agony, not knowing what was happening to her.

He lifted the curse for a moment to show his accidental crime partner a confident smirk. “I’m sure you people won’t be happy with her dying so easily, am I right? Say, how long do you suggest- Oi, Oi, you’re not going anywhere.” His sentence was interrupted when he noticed that the woman was coming back to her senses and was trying to crawl away in a desperate attempt to escape. He shot another Cruciatus Curse at her in order to prevent the escape. While she was being tortured by the curse, he continued talking. “My apologize. Say, Mr. Malfoy, how long do you suggest I keep her occupied?” Once again, he stopped the curse. He was beginning to take pleasant in playing with the spell. After all, he was the kind of person who took delight in overpowering others. It was due to his ideal of rather using a safer way, money in other word, to do so. The woman, probably figured out she could not escape in any way, started crying and begging for her life while still unable to move because of the side effect of the mental pain she just experienced.

It seemed to take a few moments for Bolton to realize who he was and Lucius smirked, even though the thief couldn’t see his face. It was good to be recognized, especially when his face was hidden behind his Death Eater mask. There was this feeling of power that he loved when he donned this mask and people feared him. It was exhilarating to have that power over people normally, and even more so when he felt he had no power in his own home. Lucius couldn’t tell if his words and being close to Raphael was causing him to be uncomfortable but certainly hoped so. It would not do for such a person to forget his place when with his betters. He could tell that his dangerous tone was affecting the other man but he couldn’t help but glance around to see if someone was coming to investigate. It seemed to him that Bolton was coming to a decision and he was torn whether or not he wanted him to refuse or not. It would be entertaining to see what he could do but also to see the man punished if he refused. Maybe the Dark Lord would give him the honor of doing the punishing. A chuckle? Did that mean Bolton made his choice? Lucius' smirk widened as Raphael explained that he had no reason to pity the woman before him and he gave a dark chuckle. But otherwise he stayed silent and backed off, curious to see what the other man would be able do. It was impressive that he had it in him to cause such pain to a perfect stranger., though perhaps it was the cloud of what would happen if he refused that spurned him on. Either way, right now Lucius was enjoying what was happening. Bolton turned to him, in the middle of asking something when the woman moved, apparently trying to escape and he gave another dark chuckle. "The full body binding curse works far better to keep them from moving." He turned his cruel gaze to her momentarily before turning his attention back to Bolton. "Hmm, usually we do like to draw this…fun out, Bolton, but it might be fruitful to cut this one short." His words were meaningful as he spoke of cutting it short. His voice lowered. "It would be very bad if we were caught." He suppressed a shudder at the thought of Azkaban. Because that was where they would likely go if they were caught. And Lucius knew how awful the Prison was a first-handed.

Raphael snickered. "I just don't think binding her would make this exciting enough for you. It's hard pleasing the audience." He then shrugged.

As the man suggested ending the 'fun', he smirked, figuring why he said so. Azkaban always gave people such an impression. He knew Malfoy had been there so he doubted it hadn't affected the guy. The last time he saw the man nearly made him laugh at how such a well-dressed man could turn out after a few months in everyone’s famous prison. At the same time, he hoped it would never occur to him. Controlling his tongue from asking how Azkaban was like, the thief nodded.

He stepped closer to the woman for a clearer look, spinning his wand between fingers. He looked up for a brief moment. There were noises and sounds of 'mischief' echoing from other parts of the village. He assumed that was the other Death Eaters at work. Soon, the news would reach the Ministry. In fact, they could be on their way right now. He was not confident on fighting Aurors, plus the fact he was trying to keep his real identity safe. Therefore, as he stopped near the crying lady, his wand was in the ready position. One wave and she would be gone. He would leave unscratched. It was that simple. She grabbed his shoes desperately, pleading. He might have had a little sympathy for her in the deep of his mind if she was good looking enough for his standard. He had no intention in killing her to be honest. But when it came to choosing between his life and a random Muggle's, it was a rather easy decision. Unfortunately for her, she was there at the wrong time. Not that she would escape death had she returned home later though, seeing there were Death Eaters in the area.

"Avada kedavra!" He shouted. The woman screamed then dropped lifelessly. Raphael used his foot to turn her over for an unnecessary last check. “So, mister Malfoy,” He turned on his heels to look at his unwanted companion. “Aint you going to put it up there?” He pointed at the sky above with his forefinger. “You know? The mark?” He chuckled.

“Now if you’d excuse me. I have galleons to make.” The thought of his stupid client made him want to apparate to the guy’s house and hit him hard on the face. Yeah, better put that on the to-do-list also. He was about to apparate but then grinned mischievously at the blonde man. “Have a good night, sir Lucy-lu.” Immediately after that, he turned and disappeared with a pop in case the blonde Death Eater was aiming a curse at him.

Quite short, only 452 words this time. It's not really a good way to end my part in this thread but blah, Vivi's so lazy and the hot afternoon is not a good time for her to write. I'll see you again, Lucy~

He smirked at Bolton's words of it not being exciting to bind the victim. "Ah but it is so thrilling to see your victim when tries to struggle only to realize that they can't move no matter how much they try and escape the torment." He said this as casually as possible but there was this cruel glint to his eyes. He could hear screams from other Death Eaters' victims as he watched with thinly veiled interest as it seemed that Bolton was figuring out whether or not to use the Killing Curse on the woman. It seemed like his brethren were doing similar things as what he did to the vicar and that Raphael was currently doing to the female, but Lucius was worried that he would take too long and his hand tightened around his own wand, ready to using the Killing Curse if Bolton took too long or refused to do so. But the green light came not out of his wand but Bolton's and the words came out of the other's mouth, a cruel smirk on Lucius' lips. He looked up at being asked if he was going to put 'it' up in the sky, brow furrowing in slight confusion for a moment before it cleared when he realizes that Bolton was asking about the Dark Mark and Lucius looked down at his left forearm, debating on whether or not to do so. This was an unsanctioned attack but then again he might be rewarded for being the one to cast it. He nodded absently at Bolton needing to leave and make galleons, more than likely illegally. But he scowled at Bolton when he was called 'Lucy-lu' sending a jinx after Bolton with a non-magical curse on his lips. But he made his decision and pulled up his sleeve, casting Morsmordre, watching with grim satisfaction as he saw the green skull with snakes coming out its mouth was shot into the sky. He then apparated to the Malfoy Manor. The consequences, and possible rewards or punishments, would come at a later day.
