Calling for Student Spokesperson [Students Only]
ATTENTION: All Hogwarts students are being presented with an opportunity like none other. The Wizengamot, for its annual Youth Spokesperson Event, is putting forth a prompt related to a highly contentious case that is being brought before the court. The Wizengamot has requested that Hogwarts provide one student's essay for deliberation to help with decisions for the case. This is their prompt:
Muggle-borns have been a part of the wizarding community for as long as there have been wizards themselves. However, in light of recent events, the issue has come before the court that a Muggle-Born Registration Ledger may be needed in order to protect the safety of those in our community with non-pureblood heritage. Do you believe a Muggle-Born Registration Committee and Ledger will be beneficial or harmful?
Requirements
No less than 500 words, no more than 1500. Keep it related to the subject at hand, and this is for student characters only. Format your response like you might a "school essay." Also note that a bonus will be added to your reward (explained below) if you manage to successfully connect this muggle-born issue with the werewolf issue that the adults are being confronted with.
Send in your responses to The Phoenix account, or any staff account - either way every entry will be accounted for.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT IN BY OR ON AUGUST 7TH.
Rewards
30 Galleons for each participant (10 extra for those who successfully connect the issues)
Assorted prizes for the winners chosen by H&H staff - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will all receive prizes directly into their vault or Galleon count. And remember: these prizes may help you in troubling times to come. You might never know what's in store, when your character might need something to help them through!
Additionally, the winner's response may influence future site events! So take your response rather seriously, participants.
