PLOT UPDATE AND EVENT AFTERMATH

Hey there, Hallows and Horcruxes! As the events are winding down, we’re sure that many of you are wondering: you said there would be consequences resulting from these events. What are they? Not to worry, dear members, as all will become clear rather soon.

As an immediate notification, the population of Hogwarts did suffer casualties and a number of students have also now been turned into the very monsters that attacked within the school. That casualty list is as follows:

Seems like a rather extensive list, does it not? All tragedies have their tolls, and the solemnity of loss shall hang over Hogwarts for quite some time now. Will something else be hanging over Hogwarts? Only time will tell.

As for the riot in Diagon Alley, as the final results are tallying up, it would seem that the Anti-Werewolf crowd has won over the tide of this event. Whether by luck or sheer smarter choices, the result remains clear and decisive. The only immediate notification is that nobody was killed in the course of this particular event - only injured. Will this have some kind of effect on the wizarding community at large? We’ll just have to see, won’t we?

For visible results, not to worry, dear members. The decided fate of Hogwarts and the wizarding world has indeed been given a definite path by the staff team, but what that fate is, well… we would like to keep you on your toes for another 24 hours or so. Tomorrow, a Ministry decree shall be released that dictates and details all of the immediate effects that these two events will have on the site as a whole. After all - you didn’t think we were done bringing massive plot twists, did you? Keep your eyes open, H&H!

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over, for now! Your staff has released the two Ministry decrees resulting from these events:

What do these decrees mean for the site as a whole?

The first, the decree about werewolves, means that all known werewolves who are registered (including those recently turned in the Hogwarts attack) will need to be extra careful in the coming weeks. For those who are unregistered, as you might have decided in your apps, you'll also need to be careful in who knows about your condition and also what might occur on the next full moon.

The second, about Hogwarts, means this: any and all characters who work for the Ministry of Magic may freely come and go on the Hogwarts grounds, meaning that Ministry characters and students may now interact in threads taking place at the school. Security will be tightened tenfold around the school - virtually no lollygagging for students during the week. Threads taking place on the weekend are not so restricted, though keep in mind there will more than likely be guards everywhere throughout the school. The fate of Hogwarts will indeed be decided in a few weeks.
