Hey Dad, look at me. Think back and talk to me. Did I grow up according to plan?

Draco Malfoy is a fairly complex character nowadays. When he was younger he was the arrogant prick that no one really liked. His father and mother raised him on the belief of blood purity, and he always acted like it. For the longest time he always depended on his parents to provide for him, and make sure he had the best of the best. He never had to really do anything for himself. He was competitive and always tried to drag everyone down if it meant pride for him. But now because of his task, he knows he has to shut down compassion, and distance himself from others. He has to be more independent. Despite this majour change, he still feels like he let his father down because he has doubts about his new position as Death Eater. He wasn't as eager to become one as what he thought his father was.

Friends. He seems to be pushing them away because of the pain he feels from the task, and he doesn't need them all to be hurt too. He feels remorse for what he's put the others through, and he doesn't want his friends to hate him or be killed. They used to be people he looked up to, since they all seemed so much nicer than him, though he'd never admit it, but not anymore. So Draco needs a good amount of friends. Maybe people he still talks to in the halls or in class. Maybe a few to add to his past. He doesn't take too well to mudbloods or bloodtraitors. Or anyone who isn't in the house of Slytherin.

I can't believe it's hard, just to talk to you. But you don't understand.

Lovers. Draco was often the flirtious boy in Slytherin, though he had only gone out with one girl, and that was Pansy. But he knows he can't really get involved with anyone with what's at stake. He has to push his old girlfriend away, and probably break up with her, if he wants to be able to focus on completing his mission to kill Dumbledore and fix the vanishing cabinet. There will be times that he might look at girls, or wish he could ask one of them out, but he'll do his best to refrain from this for now. Because he doesn't think he could handle becoming attached to someone and then causing them to be killed off because he screwed up and endangered them.

Enemies. Draco will have plenty of these. Maybe some of his old friends will be enemies because they don't have the same views as he does anymore. Or pushing them away causes conflict. Pretty much anyone who isn't in the house of Slytherin, is a mudblood, is a bloodtraitor, or who will judge him because of what he is doing for his mother by being a Death Eater, is going to end up an enemie. Draco will have more of these than he will have of friends.

Sooooo, I don't think these two would be very friendly haha. First of all, Draco's a Slytherin, Noah a Gryffindor. Instant dislike. Secondly, they've played quidditch against each other before, so the rivalry got even more heated. I don't see a huge hatred, nothing Harry-Draco-esque, but they would most likely strongly dislike each other. Also, Noah is for the Order of the Phoenix, so seeing as the Malfoys are Death Eaters, the two of them being together wouldn't exactly equal a picnic. So, strong dislike? Feel free to add or delete anything I've said - it tends to be rubbish. xD

COLDEN&&DRACO

The two are cousins [though distant], the Kerl family are quite closely related to the Malfoy's [they have the same light blonde hair trait]. Of course Colden is more of a black sheep as no one knows who his father is [maybe Draco teased him at first about this and maybe insinuated that his father was a mudblood?] but perhaps over the time they developed a mutual respect? Especially once Colden proved he was rather capable with dark magic and hexes. He would have probably encouraged Draco when he joined the Dark Lord

Draco&Noah
Definitly going to be some sort of hatred here. They probably don't talk much at all though, especially with Noah being older. So they really don't have many moments where they can start fighting the way he can with Harry. But since he's a Gryffindor, and on the Quidditch team, he's going to automatically hate him. Whether he has ever actually talked to him or not. So I think a strong dislike would be good.

Perhaps Draco looks up to Colden in like a brotherly way? Because he is a strong death eater, and he needs all the encouragment he can get because he had to join the Death Eater's himself and he's not sure if he could pull off these tasks. But yes, I can see Draco teasing Colden about his father being a mudblood, even if it's totally unknown.

He'd be happy to help Draco out, and despite the rough start he sees Draco as a brother as well and considers him the only real family he has. He has infultrated the castle as a spy for voldemort and to try and recruit members so perhaps he can help Draco out as well? Be there for him and console him etc

So, I think we can tell by the quips in the Games section that these two won't get along all that well. Seems like a strictly last name basis! XD And I think that's super fun! First, Pippa here is in Gryffindor, so we have the House feuds. But Pippa's also muggle-born and, obviously, very much against any and every one who associates with the Death Eaters or has a blood status problem. She usually doesn't have much of a temper at all, but when the term "mudblood" gets tossed around, that can change quickly. I don't think these two would have a lot of contact with each other, but when they do...I'd think they'd clash and it'd get interesting. Feel free to toss it or change it - any thoughts or ideas? c;

When it comes to how I portray Severus and his relationship with the Malfoys, this scene was much, much more than a mere ploy to gain the questionable trust of Bellatrix Lestrange. There are many more levels to it and, while it is true Severus is aware that Bellatrix will go running to her Master to whisper this little scene into his ear, thus gaining him a touch of favor in the Dark Lord's eyes, I do not feel this is why he did it - nor do I play him as though this is why. It was merely an added benefit.

As I play Severus, he was always somewhat admiring of the elder Malfoys and at times, protective of them. Draco is a deeply important aspect of Severus' life - in many ways, he is a nephew to him. Making this oath wasn't just about making airs and earning Voldemort's trust. It was about soothing Narcissa and protecting Draco. The last thing Severus wants to see is Draco turning out like himself (Or, admittedly, like Lucius became.)

I would love to have some one on one time with these two and establish a closer bond than what we get to see in the books. With Draco pushing people away and falling deeper into depression and worry about how things are going, Severus is going to want to be a solid presence, someone Draco can rely on no matter how hard he pushes or what decisions he makes, and I'd really like to see that played out. Let me know what you think!
