Personality:
Look, he's not a difficult guy. Things are fairly simple if you keep in mind all characters present an opportunity. What that opportunity is? The answer varies. Regardless, Arthur will treat such potential equal to others, which is: do all that a friend would do at the drop of a hat without the actual label. He seems unselfish in his tasks because at that moment, there is only fondness to be gained. However, Arthur sees the long-term usefulness, and that's reaping the benefits at a more appropriate time.
Friend:
Knowing this, one must wonder, "surely there are a few exceptions?" Yes, there are few he cherishes, but they don't know his genuine opinion due to his cloaked heart. And likely never will hear him admit but may indicate such if a peculiar situation occurred. Ultimately, it's nearly a guarantee anyone could approach Arthur and receive a warm talk.
Enemy:
Here, it gets a bit tricky. See, while Arthur may treat seemingly everyone 'right', he also prepares himself for their pending 'wrongs'. There are no exceptions to this, as others are capable of what Arthur himself is(duh), but this is important because an informed outsider could see Arthur as a backstabber. Which isn't necessarily true seeing a backstabber usually sacrifices another for himself. Arthur would rather keep his illusion intact till the end.
Romance:
What would happen if Arthur found himself in a relationship? Would this person become aware of Arthur's strange lifestyle? Perhaps. Again, the possibilities vary. What Arthur must consider is this person's: morality, ethics, behavioral patterns, stability, compatibility, consistency - among other things. It's a heavy law Arthur has burden himself with, but this is the adventure he's always wanted.
