So, Ginny is taking Muggle Studies, though it's really not her favorite class. She might goof off a little in that class, but I think overall she wouldn't have anything against her professor.

Noah has taken Muggle Studies for years now, so he would definitely know Charity and she would know him. Noah isn't the most dedicated student, but he is very amusing and charming. Therefore, even if he is a bit of a troublemaker, I can see these two having a healthy professor-student relationship. He would trust her as a professor, and he does put as much effort as he possibly can into her work. Perhaps he has gotten into trouble with her a few times, but he really enjoys her class and her as a professor. ^.^

Gee, I wonder how these two might know each other...! Well, hmm. I guess the first thing we need to decide is how far along in their relationship crisis we'd like them to be. At least from Fabien's perspective, he is still deeply in love with Charity -- big problem is that he's not doing a very good job of showing it, lately. It seems to me that at this point, he ought to still be balanced enough to at least put on a good show some of the time, but his efforts are going to be inconsistent at best. The other thing to consider is if we ever want to see any kind of confession, or more generally if these two end up reconciling. Of course, no harm in simply letting things play out, too.

Yes I think from Charity’s perspective she’s noticed a change in him, sometimes he’s the man she used to know other times he different. She knows there’s something not quite right, but can’t put her finger on it. She notices small things about him that are slowly changing; maybe he becomes more reluctant around her because he’s anxious she may see the Dark Mark. I always imagined that she would ultimately be killed, somehow he wouldn’t be able to save her and he’d have to witness her death like in the book. Yes I know Drama, Drama! (Love it). But this could change, doesn't have to happen

We could have her find out in a number of ways,
She could work it out,

Fabien could tell her, - or he could try to tell her but chicken out – making her more suspicious.
Another Death Eater could tell her,
She could be captured by the death eaters, thus she finds out. – Might have more drama.

Oh, I especially like the idea about him getting dodgy in an attempt to cover up the Dark Mark for some reason... Anyway, it seems to met that Charity is just too smart not to at least have figured out part of what's going on. That said, I think there needs to be a moment of confession, otherwise there's no way Fabien could ever live this down. I also think it might make for better drama (read: Wizard Angst) if the two have somehow recociled with one another before her death, if that's indeed where this ends up going. Even if it's just some last minute, desperate thing because they both know she's going to die and Charity doesn't want to feel totally alone, I think they should have at least a moment of reconnet.

Yes I agree, she will most certainly have her suspicions especially if he’s trying to deter her from her work. Something which she takes extremely seriously. A confession is fine with me, will be extremely fun to role play and a reconciliation is fine as well! I’m happy and excited about all of this. Shall we go with a bit of a fluffy thread so we can get to know our characters and each other’s characters? Maybe with a small motive or idea in mind for it or just go for it? (if this makes sense?)

So, Pippa here is muggle-born and rather proud of that fact. But that being the case, I have a feeling she probably wouldn't go about taking Muggle Studies now...it might not be completely fair. XD I do think she would know of Charity and really respect her, though. She might have even sought out Charity for something in the past. Like, maybe Charity helped her adjust when she first got to Hogwarts? Either way, I can see Charity being the type of professor Pippa just relaxes around. She might give her some trouble in a joking or goofy sense, but yes, I can see Pippa liking Charity. Any ideas here?

I think that Charity would respect Pippa, and would always be there to support those students who might have trouble adjusting to wizarding life. So it could be possible that Charity had helped Pippa settle into Hogwarts when she first arrived. They could have a positive student/teacher relationship, where Pippa and Charity have a bit of banter, however if Pippa has a problem etc she knows she can come to Charity?

Charity and Elijah

Elijah would be such a mama's boy. XD She would be the only one to know about his sexuality. As the oldest son, he would probably be somewhat protective of his mother. I don't think he completely agrees with her view on muggles, but he tries really hard to. I can see her always lecturing him about his grades and how if he tried he would do so much better in school. X3 Also I think he would sense something is up between Charity and Fabien, but he wouldn't understand it? I don't think he'll be as close to Fabien because he's ashamed of who he is and thinks his father will be too. Plus Fabien's new shift in demeanor makes him a little uneasy.

This scene was difficult for me to read and, in all honesty, even harder for me to watch. I applaud Rickman's acting skills for this one, as I feel he truly managed to capture Severus in one of the hardest scenes we witness him going through.

This was a woman he knew, a woman he worked with - a woman who thought of him as a friend, of which Severus simply does not have many. He held himself together, stayed impassive, and watched her die despite the fact it could not have been easy for him in any way.

Personally, I have always wanted an opportunity to expand on Severus' relationship with Charity, but in all honesty I have not yet joined a site in which there was a Charity, so naturally I was utterly gleeful when I found Hallows & Horcruxes and found her at last.

I would love to roleplay these two, as I'm sure my babble has just made quite clear XD I'd like it if they were friends, in an odd way - and let me explain that.

I see Charity as being a kind enough woman to understand that Severus is, at his best, introverted and, at his worst, downright mean, but accepting enough to just avoid him on his bad days. I see her as being consistently friendly, which would cause Severus to be less...harsh with her than he would the other staff. Which, I think, would slowly form a sort of amicable bond between them.

Severus would not consider them friends by any means, but he would not see Charity as any sort of threat or enemy. So much of their time as colleagues would be peaceful.

With the war looming and Charity's situation getting more and more turbulent, I think Severus might get genuinely worried for her, but of course, hide it well. I think it would be interesting (probably, in the end, heart-wrenching) if during this time they truly do form a bond of friendship, as Severus delicately attempts to protect her (and most likely, her children) from her husband without revealing his intentions or allegiance. What do you think?

Charity && Elijah

Yaya! Charity’s first baby Hehe

Yes I’m perfectly happy with all of this, Charity would accept him no matter what his sexuality was, after all he is her son and she only wants him to be happy. Also If Charity were to reject him because of it, she wouldn’t be being true to her own morals as she fights for equality between people. Would Elijah have asked Charity not to tell Fabien? I think if this is the case she would find it difficult to keep the secret, and try to encourage Elijah to be open about it all, however she wouldn’t want to push him and for him to find his own time to tell him. But I think she would feel guilty about it.

Charity && Severus

Alan Rickman is just perfect. His eyes express so perfectly Snapes turmoil! One of the main reasons for being drawn to Charity was this scene, I wondered about how she had come to trust Severus and not doubt him up until the very end. Yes I’ve never seen Charity played before.

I agree with everything you have said, I think that Charity not only would understand Severus’s ways, and be aware of how to treat him depending on his moods. She’s quite ‘no nonsense’ as well; I think she could deal quite well with him and respect him as a competent wizard.

Obviously as they get to know each other Charity would happily class him as a close friend, trusting and valuing his opinion. She would probably class him as a friend long before he did her. I think Severus would defiantly try to protect her as he learnt about the plans for capturing her, and about her husband. It’s in his nature to do so, but in what ways would Severus try to do this?
I’m very excited about playing this plot out!

He would definately ask her not to tell Fabien. It's not that Elijah doesn't love/like his father, it's just he's terrified especially of his reaction. I understand that the secret would make Charity perhaps a little guilty, perhaps it could be one of things that's going on in the marriage? Maybe Fabien senses something is up and feels left out? Maybe he gets the wrong idea?

Yes that’s what I thought might happen, we can see how the Fabien/Charity/Elijah section plays out, but it could all tie in nicely. We shall see what Gatsby thinks What do you think? We could rp Elijah telling Charity, I need to make a past board so it could go in there?
